  2. I would say that's OK - band funds not your personal gear. @neepheid is in Aberdeen and Hogmannay falls just before a weekend. When the party's over and he's sobered up he can disagree. 😊
  3. Listed as a tier 2 fail.

  6. Sorry about that. The original pictures have disappeared! The Newtones are 45/65/85/105/130 and the brite Flats are 49/62/84/108/129. Note that there’s an extra low B for the Brite Flats.
  7. Thanks guys, I will definitely tap into your local knowledge when we finally move into the area, it could be a while yet, but our house is already on the market and we've viewed a couple of house already, so fingers crossed that it won't be too long. 🤞

  9. The VVT control plate arrived yesterday but, despite being used, it is considerably shinier than the relic’d stack-knob plate. I intend to attack it (gently) with some fine wire wool before treating it with acetic acid fumes from white vinegar. I also could do with some raw sheep’s wool from a fence as the lanolin is apparently good for dulling bright metal.
  10. I can still find new ways to spend more but I do feel like I’m semi pro at it now 😄
  11. Hardback version of this great book. Never been read (I have another copy this was a gift), so as new. Slight mark on spine (pictured). £14 delivered. Indulge your creative spirit!
  12. I don't have the Flex any more (a BCer contacted me privately and asked to buy it off me) but, from memory, I think the Fifteen has more tonal variety (including helpful LP and HP filters) and can be driven a bit harder. Its also quieter in operation. Early impressions of Fifteen are that its exactly the preamp/DI pedal I need. Edit: I also had a nagging fear over valve failure with the Flex as I previously owned an EBS Valvedrive which died on me (yes, its easy to replace a dead valve but not during a rehearsal or gig!)
  13. Mine is coming Monday morning. 😀 Had to pay £55 customs charge.☹️
  14. While a few people have genuine reasons for needing a short scale, the number of kids playing long scale on 'influencer' videos shows that they are not needed by most small folk. Short scales sound and feel very different though, and to me they are a lot of fun to play.
  15. I don't know who originally made it but I've had it a couple of years and added a Thunderbird neck. It's had a Rickenbacker 5 string pickup, so will need re-routing for another shape. Has a KiOgan wiring loom and the cavities have copper conductive tape. Paint job - not good - Halfords finest put on too quickly and not sanded down. Top is finished with a vinyl wrap (which doesn't hide the paint inconsistencies underneath). Great if you want that 'Rat' look.

  16. Last gig of 2025 went to a large WMC, nice and local too! It was a ticket job and fully sold out, we had reservations as flu is still rife but we were happy to see a rammed club full of enthusiastic punters. 3 sets instead of our normal 2 and the obligatory Auld Langs Ayne, we were knackered at the end but it was a cracking night. That’s it for us Glam Lads until the 10th of Jan when we hit the Lion in Cas Vegas. A happy new year to all youse in the BC gigging fraternity.

  18. Oh and I'm expecting my new IEMs somewhere later this month. But I already paid for those a few weeks ago.

  20. It really is a great pedal
  21. Question: What about joint purchases for bands made out of band funds? Upgrading lights, new monitors, a new backdrop. My contribution is 20% and it's deducted from the band slush fund.
  22. I grabbed one of these when they came out in the summer. Put it on my board, used a few presets but never had time to really create any of my own sounds. Amazing pedal but I eventually took it off my board, put it in its box and put it in the draw of many other pedals! Don't know if I should put it on my board again and spend some time with it or if it's a case of if I haven't missed it, do I even need it?! I feel bad for the people who have been desperate to get one and I've had one tucked away in a drawer for the last 5 months 😆
