    Krivo magnetic pickup, £140 posted. I think this is 2nd or 3rd generation. There are reports of these being fairly noisy under some conditions, and this is one no exception - I had issues with previous strings that didn't have a very magnetic core, but it's not an issue with the strings I have now, so if you have suitable strings you should be good. It's an excellent solution for getting a good signal into an amp, or playing loud stages where feedback is an issue.

    Some things were just meant to be, and stars do sometimes align. I say this gets a pass, as @Machines didn't go shopping for a bass - in fact, an award might be due because of his going to pick up a g****r in broad daylight.

    That's what I said. I find the political dimension of Eurovision quite hard to follow. They're anti-Israel, right? Okay then, great, so at least we know where light entertainment in Azerbaijan stands on these kind of issues. I'm sure that makes just as big a difference to those fighting on the frontline as it does to me.

    Can’t remember but @funkle has a great thread Here on building a Wal’ish bass where he tries various pickups and preamps in pursuit of the Wal sound. There are also a couple of other Wal’alike builds in the Build Diaries section with at least one using the Lusithand pre. I have an early Overwater original series 5 string that has a filter based preamp and I think John East built the preamps for Overwater, but I am sure his newer designs will be more advanced.

    Journeyed down to London yesterday to catch Tarja Turunen and band at the O2 Shepherds Bush Empire. Billed as the 'Living The Dream - The Hits' tour, the set included prime cuts from both her solo and Nightwish careers, and her live band included non other than Doug Wimbish (with 4 and 5 string Spectors). I've been to a few Tarja shows over the last 10-12 years ago and although Doug has toured with her a few times, I think this is the first time I've seen him on stage with her. Anyway it was a great gig, very heavy in places (as one would expect) with several songs featuring extended instrumental outros with guitar and bass soloing in places. Only downer was that the low stage in the Empire and number of people filming meant those of us further back were often left watching proceedings on a screen.

    Selling a pair of Bartolini Pickups out from the famous Lakland 55-94. These pickups are great replacement for the current Laklands whether it's the 55-02 and 55-94. They are fully operational. They spit strong lows and mids. The references are 59KLN3 and DL52K3. IMG_0363.HEIC

    Hi folks Here we have a Roberts 3" strap, 46" - 51", the second higher hole shortens it by 5 1/2 inches. The button holes are clean, no appearance of being used, it still has the manufacturer's tag attached I'm asking £15.00 + postage I Fang Q

    Selling these stock Bartolini pickups out from the famous Lakland Deluxe USA 55-94. These are the jazz 59KLN3 and the DL52K3. They have punch. Deliver great lows and mids.     It's time to move on two basses I recently took as trade-ins from the sales of two other instruments. These are two really nice basses, particularly the American Professional II Jazz, which plays like a dream with a lovely neck profile, very similar to my Elite Jazz. The Maruszczyk "Mr.Tee" is a unique one-off instrument with a huge sound, which can create a lovely Double Bass-alike tone with its Piezo bridge when played just below the fingerboard. 2023 Fender American Professional II Jazz Bass in black gloss polyurethane with lovely dark Rosewood fingerboard. High mass bridge with top loading, or through-body stringing, lightweight Fender tuners & Fender's V-Mod 2 single coil pickups. This 2023 bass was barely used by its previous owner and as such is in as-new condition. No dents/dings or scratches. Comes complete with original OEM Fender hard shell case with TSA locks and all labels/case candy/certificate of authenticity. Currently set up with a lovely low action and long-lasting Elixir 40-95 strings. The bass is shown in the pictures with a dark tortoiseshell scratch guard - it will also come with the original OEM Fender Mint scratch guard (also pictured.) Price: £1195 Interesting trades always considered! Maruszczyk "Mr. Tee" 5-string Shortscale Bass with BassCulture SSC Single Coil & ETS Piezo & Custom Richter Preamp. This is a unique little bass by the Polish-based Maruszczyk workshop. A custom Mr. Tee model 5 string Telecaster-style semi-hollow body with a comfortable 30" short scale. Features include a BassCulture SSC single coil pickup and an ETS Piezo-equppied bridge, with custom 3-band preamp by Richter. Currently strung E-C and freshly set up with a nice low action on new 35-95 Ernie Ball Flatwound Strings. Comes complete with a Hiscox Hard Shell Case. The bass was originally built as a fretless in 2021, but was professionally fretted by a previous owner. Alder Body with light veneer & Buckeye Poplar Top, 5-bolt neck joint, matching Buckeye Poplar headstock. All in beautiful almost-as-new condition. This is one stunning bass!
