  2. What are your thoughts with regards to the Sadowsky outboard preamp pedal?
  3. For me, the award for Best Tone goes to Mike Inez. That Warwick/Fishman bass redefined "angry piano". The bass was very well represented in the live stream throughout, apart from Pantera, oddly, which was a real shame as Rex is one of my favourite bassists. As it turned out Pantera were probably my biggest disappointment of the day though overall. What the hell was Zakk Wylde doing?!
  4. D’Addario Pro Steels XL Long Scale 40-100 I bought these to try but only fitted the E string briefly as I prefer the feel of nickels. The G,D and A are new as only the E was cut for a P bass and fitted for about five minutes. Price includes UK postage.
  5. Great bass, GLWTS
  6. It did but was then reopened - https://www.retaildetail.eu/news/leisure/bax-music-reopens-stores-and-webshop/
  7. Electro-Harmonix Clone Theory Vintage Chorus Pedal NYC Made 70’s/80’s This is the one made famous in the 80’s by musicians including Peter Hook, John McGeoch and again later by Kirk Cobain. You can get sweeping chorus, subtle vibrato, to mad flange and synth like sounds from this unit. It’s a hard wired mains unit and the casing has plenty of dings and touch ups to the paint. It works perfectly and sounds great. These are quite rare now. I’ve owned two and this is the one that is all original. It’s an old pedal and like most vintage EH gear a bit noisy but it’s not a particular issue for live gigs.
  8. Definitely played what appeared to be a 70's P bass. As per the previous leaked pics of the rehearsal room his rig was 2 x Fender Super Bassman's via 2 x Fender 8x10's
  9. Too slow? Luxury, I dream of too slow!
  10. Maybe we could genesplice him with our drummer who starts to fast to get a drummer who starts at the correct tempo.
  11. This is my go-to wah on my Digitech BP355 (Digitech and DOD operated under the same corporate ownership and shared design teams). Easy to use and sounds great.
  12. Hi Nick, Can you upload the images to the listing as the attachments cant be opened..Thanks
  13. If Oasis want rhythm guitarists to play bass, that's their choice. It explains why their music sounds like it does and why Oasis aren't a band that features prominently in bass chat. Most of us don't know who the bass player is. The only song I've ever had to learn is Cigarettes and Alcohol. The bass is buried in the mix or probably more likely is just playing one root note per bar. I gave up trying to learn it and just did the above. The 90s was a strange decade for Music, the Madchester scene mainly passed me by.
  14. Hi Coogi, is this the one with the ceramic pickups?
  15. Hi everyone. I'm selling my mid-2000s Peavey Millennium 4 string active. I've owned it since new, it's only been used out of the house for a few rehearsals so it's in excellent condition. All the electronics are working as they should. It weighs 3.72kg / 8.2lbs and sits really nicely on a strap. The neck is pretty slim so it's an easy player. Here's a full spec sheet from Peavey. I'm based in West Lancashire and collection would be preferred but I'd be happy to drive for an hour or so if you'd like to do a classic service station / train station meet-up.
  16. Looks like a 73 transition 4001 to me.
  17. Keep getting emails from Bax Music... Thought they went under recently..? Are they still trading?
  18. Hi Gang! Hope everyones good. Putting my Ashdown rig on sale - this is from December 2024 so 6 months old basically and can prove it. Working perfectly and taken out to rehearsal just 3 times, but going digital with the band (Anagram + IEMs) so no use for this sadly. The head comes with cover, mint. Cabs with minimum scratches - enough to feel them with a nail but not cut thru the tolex - I can still remember the trip where this happen and facepalmed myself. Cabs are about 14kg each or so, can carry the whole rig two handed. Tweeters on OFF/MID/Hi on both cabs. Would prefer selling as a rig. If separate: RM 500 EVO III head £400 w/ cover ABM 2x10 EVO IV Pro Line (not the compact) £400 ABM 1x15 EVO IV Pro Line £350 Take the whole rig for £1k and I'll add the foodswitch and cables too. NOTE: Decoloration is only because of having wiped them with a wet cloth to clean the scratches for more accurate picture - they are black all over and even of course.
