pantherairsoft started following Boss OC-5 Octave!!!!

I find this in the modern/poly mode, but not in vintage. In fact, if anything, in vintage mode I find is even more immediate than my OC2.

Clearing out a lot of stuff that is just sitting in boxes under my desk. For sale is my EBS Microbass in Bass preamp and DI. Bought it on here a few years ago and used it for a number of tours for FOH and practice at home until it started to momentarily cut out on channel A intermittently but never for long, but long enough to not want to use it for live. Amazing sounding preamp and speaker sim and incredibly versatile. Probably could be used as a practice solution for somebody or perhaps somebody with tech knowledge or an interest in repairing things could fix it. £75 delivered.

Seeing as I've just done a gig where the guitar player's Helix went down three times, I'm not sure that it's only tube amps that are temperamental.

For sale is a set of EMG J Jazz Bass pickups for 4 string bass. Comes with the solderless controls and wiring kit. Doesn't include the Jazz control plate sorry, using this just to keep it all together safely for the moment. I think I threw the box away but can package them securely and all instructions are available from the EMG website. Had these in my Jazz Bass for a year and saw very little use as I tend to gig mainly 5 string and precision basses. Decided I wanted to change back to passive pickups, so these are up for sale. Great sounding pickups and completely noiseless!

For sale is my Truetone 1Spot CS7 Great power supply in very good condition (just a slight scratch on the yellow paint) complete with box, mounting kit and all the various cables. Reason for sale is that I bought a CIOKS SOL for my Quad Cortex which I then obviously I sold but it still fits my needs better than the CS7 so needs to go! £110 ono delivered

For sale is my Rockboard Quad 4.1 pedlaboard fitted with the Rockboard Mod 1 patchy bay. Used this as my pedalboard for the last 5 years and it has been great, very light but sturdy and very easy to build a good pedalboard with. It's covered in velcro that can of course be removed. Also included is a Pedaltrain gig bag that came with the Pedaltrain that I recently bought. There is a small hole in the case which I've pictured and doesn't include the shoulder strap but other than that it's never been used. This could probably be stitched or glued back together... not that I'm an arts and crafts expert though! It just happens to fit the rockboard Quad 1 perfectly so thought I would list it as one whole thing.

Recording techniques in the early 70s relied a lot more on a few ambient mics, especially for live work, rather than large numbers of close mics on everything. 16, 24 and especially 48 track recording was still in the future, particularly at places like the Beeb. Note there are only two mic's on the kit on that live footage - one on the kick and one overhead. Probably ribbons (likely Reslo), as you point out. I have to disagree that they are badly positioned. Yes, that wouldn't work for dynamics or even some condensers, but you don't want to put a ribbon, especially an old school one, too close. There's going to be a fair bit of spill, but the resultant mix is very good, so the engineers knew their stuff. They had to make the best of the kit and techniques of the time.

Up for sale is my much-loved and well-cared-for 1997 Warwick Corvette Standard. This beauty has been a joy to own, but it's time to let her go to fund new projects. This is one of those basses that just fits, perfectly balanced on a strap, incredibly comfortable neck, and low, buzz-free action. It sounds fantastic, with that unmistakable Warwick growl and clarity, and sits beautifully in any mix across a wide range of genres. These days she’s more of a case queen, as I haven't played much recently. As such, a basic setup and pot clean may be needed. That's about as far as my knowledge goes - probably better to ask a Fender historian. I'm sure there will be quite a few around here Basically, mine is a modern iteration of a 63/64, built period correct, with the cloth wires, etc.

On that matter is it A Jacks or Eye Yacks. -
Are they still grounded from the pots to under the bridge as well? Or was this an earlier method before they started going through the body from under the control plate?
-
Got some more done last night - PI and Normal channel.

I don’t get it, personally… I’m not going to have a row with them about it…but it is mildly irksome.

This was on my board for a few years, never let me down but just fancied a change so I’ve got a boss chorus on the board now. The toneprint options make it a pretty versatile pedal, found myself mostly using the Duff McKagan toneprint. No original box for this unfortunately but will be packaged securely. Price includes postage in the UK, cheers

On a small a small stage they’re a no no and for just 9 songs, that’s ridiculous. The ‘joy’ of all tube amps, temperamental at the most inconvenient of times.
