  2. Lincoln Goines through written part for the tune 'Goin' Under' from the 1999 Mike Stern album, 'Play'. Nice easy read. https://bilbosbassbites.co.uk/goin-under-mike-stern/
  3. Yeah, saw the BSC one. Think there's an Alice Cooper one too up by the Rhythm/Treble switch.

  7. It looks like there's a Geezer Butler, Rob Trujillo and Kerry King on there Geezer by the pickup switch, Rob on the cutaway, and Kerry on the bottom right corner
  8. The one in The Gallery is a nice thing. I tried it the other day. Thin neck, nice tone, looks the part. My reservation is that I think it might be a bit pricey for what it is. But I guess the gallery has overheads that we don't. Your shortscale will undoubtedly be nicer to play, and what with these both being quite 'thumpy' semi acoustic basses, I doubt the scale length will make any real diff to the tone. GLWTS!
  9. Highway star - Deep Purple
  10. Any actually useful responses out there?
  11. I've been quoted two years a while ago for either a standard model or master built/custom shop (right handed). Sounds like Sadowsky Germany are pretty accurate with their estimated delivery times. That is very valuable to know. Thanks. I hope it was worth the wait🙂👍
  12. Flat wound strings and a piece of foam under the bridge are favoured by those looking for that old school, P bass thump (think James Jameson on the old Motown recordings). Stick with what’s on there for the moment, until you work out what you want from it tonally, then you can investigate the many options. Fortunately, there is plenty of help on Basschat in this regards. Nice bass you have there. 👍
  13. I think I bought a lawnmower from Salt Raspberry, many years ago. Nice fella.
  14. Wheels of Steel - Saxon
  15. Bass Direct often have John East knobs in stock: https://www.bassdirect.co.uk/product/east-knob/
  16. And don't forget the Kawai Aures 2 series where you get the same as the ATX-4 plus the option to hear your piano or whatever connected via Bluetooth to it through the very soundboard of the piano itself thanks to transducers exciting the said soundboard. The sound is quite impressive.
  17. For washing it down in the shower.

  19. This would look so good alongside my MTD Super 5......must sit on hands and must resist...GAS does not exist...... GLWTS!
  20. Hi Guys! First time poster here. Do any other Gretsch Junior Jet 2 owners have issues with the action on their bass? Since the warm weather has descended I thought it best to do some set up on the Gretsch to get it back to how I had it in Winter, but for the life of me I can't get the strings to stop buzzing on the frets when I totally straighten the neck out. I'm inclined to replace the nut and the bridge, just to give the strings a little more clearance but before I start doing any noob stuff I would like some advice! I've always taken my guitars/basses to a luthier for setup, but I think it's about time I learned how to do it myself. Please be kind Chris

  22. I'm really not good on diseased trees, Mick. 😂 OK, I can see it's not beech (I used to own a small beech wood), and I can see it's not pine (I've been to Ikea, y'know), but beyond that? Yup ... it's wood.
  23. In my mind a 50W bass amp is a toy, practice amp at best. I haven't used that little power in decades! I see nothing sexy about it.
  24. The only ones I can confirm are definitely genuine are Abraham Lincoln, Samuel Pepys, Glenn Miller, Jesus, and Paddington Bear
  25. Lovely bass for a very fair price. GLWTS!
