  2. Do you use it with a battery or a power supply?
  3. Thank you P , It is really 1 of a kind . I had 2 fretless bass this and a pedulla pentabuzz . I sold the pedulla and that should sum how special this bass really is . Most effortless bass tli ever played
  4. I wanna dig it - Beach Boys
  5. Yep, it's a nice tone alright. Like you say, it's not often you see an EUB played by someone coming at it from an acoustic bass standpoint. I think this is a large part of the sound to be honest - if you play an EUB like it's a big fretless bass turned on its side then it'll sound like that, whereas using a DB technique tends to give a more DB tone. Having said that, I've never played an EUB so this is pure speculation on my part based on a limited number of videos I've seen....
  6. If you are spraying inside a room, simply slightly spray water on the ground, walls and ceiling, it will avoid dust deposit, that's the trick my late father used back in the 60's/70's when he was spraying cars or making spray repairs as he was a mechanic (you know when they were making everything on a car). All my uncles who were all mechanics too did the same before buying a spraying booth.
  7. Cheers my dears

  11. Oh Well! - Fleetwood Mac
  12. Could really do with moving this on as my half pay kicks in next week!
  13. Taking the Rio and a combustion 4 down to bass direct on Friday this week for a commision sale 😎
  14. +1 for Nux 5.8 GHz. Been using them regularly on gigs (100+) for the past couple of years, and have a worked a treat. Previously had the Boss WL-20s which were great sonically, but I was often getting drop-outs with them in the more crowded 2.4 GHz space particularly following a switch by a couple of us in the band to wireless IEMs.
  15. I have the Boss WL-20 and the Nux. I bought the Nux because my wireless router is right next to my practice amp at home, and it interfered with the WL-20. The Nux works fine at home. For gigs, I always use the WL-20 as it’s just so simple and easy to use. I take the Nux as backup, but I’ve never had to use them. Only once has the WL-20 given me a surprise, the guitarist also has the same system, and I forgot to re pair mine before plugging in, and all of a sudden he had bass coming out of his guitar amp! Re paired and all was good. I haven’t done a any scientific testing, but I think battery life is better on the WL-20 than the Nux, but then the Nux can be recharged from the case if needs be. Rob
  16. Thank you, it’s got some little specs of wind blown dust in a couple of places from the clearcoat stage of spraying but it was a balance between trying to remove them without making it worse and you can’t see them unless you look really closely with the bass under your nose and rotating it in the light. They would never be seen when played normally. The cost of trying to set up some sort of an inside spray booth with extraction was just too prohibitive for the odd spray project.
  17. Those are becoming quite rare nowadays unfortunately. Great ergonomics and playability, relatively light. I believe this is late 90’s due to 4 knob config. Truss rod was changed to the conventional 2 way retaining the original fretboard, no headaches or horror stories here.
  18. Yeah I just put it in my name and send payments to the other band members. It also makes it easier doing my tax self assessment as all the band stuff is in one place
  19. By the sounds of it, 'f-ck all' can be defined as 'what goes on in the area where @neepheid lives'.
  20. True american legend. All maple, 1992, 4,8kg. Has a Q filter. Resonates and sustains for days.
  21. I guess it can be called a sadowsky modern clone. Wenge neck, ash body with guilted maple top. Holes of the unknown origin or purpose Full bartolini electronics, if you like their dark vibe this is a great bass. Have too many 5 stringers so something needs to go.

  22. Oh I didn't know that, now is the time to grab one then! Thomann are also knocking these out at £75 (with £10 shipping), not as much of a bargain but they do have the vintage one: https://www.thomann.co.uk/hugheskettner_spirit_of_vintage.htm
