I’m selling my beautiful 2004 German-made Warwick Streamer LX Jazzman in Petrol Green – a seriously versatile and pro-level bass that’s built like a tank and sounds amazing. Lovingly looked after and in fantastic condition, gold hardware upgraded to black official Warwick hardware, new black Dunlop strap locks, and a new Just-A-Nut III brass bridge added. Set up beautifully with a low action. Specs: • Swamp ash body with flame maple top • Bolt-on ovangkol neck with wenge fingerboard • 24 frets / 34” scale length • Just-A-Nut III brass nut (38.5mm width) • Warwick 2-piece brass bridge • MEC pickups: passive Jazz (neck) + MM-style humbucker (bridge) • 3-way mini toggle (series / parallel / single coil) • Active 3-band EQ (volume push-pull for passive bypass) • Dunlop strap locks • Weighs around 4kg – solid but very comfortable Condition: Very good overall. Some signs of use as expected for a bass of this age, but everything works perfectly. Frets are in great shape, neck is straight, and the electronics are super flexible. Uber versatile. This thing can do vintage warmth or modern bite with ease. Includes a Protection Racket gig bag. Would prefer collection, but have a proper box to post at buyers expense, but must be insured by buyer prior to sending. Any further questions, please feel free to ask. Cash on collection or bank transfer only. Cheers ☺️☀️

I really like the lightest set 40-60-70-95 (blue on the packaging) of EB cobalt flats on my three epiphone vintage pro thunderbirds so it was a no-brainer to sling a set onto my Gibson non-reverse thunderbird. When I bought my Ric 4003 they were also an obvious choice, and they don't disappoint — they really bring out the twang of the bridge pickup and contribute to the 4003 currently being my favourite bass for recording. I'd love to try a 32" set on one of my JMJ mustangs if EB ever decide to make such a set.

Yes, the white lines looked a bit harsh on the edges, so I stained the chamfered edges to soften the overall look.

How was Your rehearsal last morning or night ?

I could probably clamp a couple to my back using the strap for the bass. I wonder where the ones we had for camping are? -
Pino Palladino Signature Stingray
kevin_lindsay replied to TransistorBassMan's topic in Bass Guitars
Here's what the side edge of the headstock says on Pino's original red P -bass (the one that was used to base his Fender Custom Shop instrument on - the neck of which was based on his old sunburst P-Bass) -
Surprised they would get that wrong on their website. Very misleading if the feature isn't available.

Explain PA setups to me like I'm an idiot
warwickhunt replied to proy900's topic in General Discussion
With regard to power ratings etc (speaking in simple terms), you'll be fine... so long as you don't whack the desk sliders to max! Start off at zero and bring it up gradually, if the speakers start to complain/fart, you've reached the speaker's max level but I'm confident they should give you enough volume before then. Set with your EQ flat and don't start cranking the bass, that can push speakers. -
Nice 👍

Hello all, A promising opportunity has arisen for my band to make use of a space for rehearsal for an egregiously small monthly fee dwarfing quite considerably our outlay for our current room, which means we would give up our 12 years long slot in a wonderful, acoustically treated, 500sq/ft studio fitted out with a high-end PA and desk. We will have to setup our own PA in the new space of course as it is not a space intended or made for musical endeavours. Due to our local music venue closing it's doors recently we have been able to obtain a Peavey Power Amplifier and 15" speakers, desk, stands, cables etc... etc... These bits of kit were never used together and the venue owner wasn't able to give any insight on if these were a suitable match. Now none of us in the band understand the magic smoke that is power ratings for these kind of things, and I'm really friggin' dumb; so can anyone advise if the following equipment is fit for purpose. Please can any advice be explained as if you were providing a teachable moment to a 5 year old, which coincidentally is my approximate reading age. Peavey PV-1200 Power Amplifier (link to manual > PV-1200) Peavey PRO-15 (MK1?) 4ohm 600w speakers (Cannot for love nor money find the manual for this model, only the 300w 8ohm MK2 version) Behringer X2442USB Mixer I'd really like to know if putting two guitar modelling boards, 3 vocal mics, and an ambient backing track module through this setup to play modern metal stylings, at not entirely cranked volumes, is going to cause damage to, or small fires within the equipment. In case you wonder, my bass will be running through a wonderful Ashdown ABM 8x10 EVO separate to the desk because the flap is strong with an X7 and 900w DG Microtubes. Thanks in advance for any advice proffered.

What do you do when your music career is over?
Linus27 replied to NancyJohnson's topic in General Discussion
No worries, I was interested as I believe you and I live in roughly the same area and the way you described the drummer reminded me of someone who I was wondering if it's the same person. More recently he was playing in a really good female fronted 3 piece playing 80's covers. -
Thanks Terry and Lozz.

You'd think so... but I just sold one of the new version Electra and it could not be switched; it was active only! It doesn't help the OP unfortunately. -

They are very similar to a five string and are fun to play once you get used to them. My fretless version is a dream to play and is my goto instrument.

Tech 21 VT Bass Deluxe for sale in excellent condition but without box or manual. Has velcro on the base but could easily be removed. I bought this new some years ago but haven't been using this for some time and would like to free up some cash, hence the sale. Price includes UK wide delivery via Royal Mail or Parcelforce, or can be collected locally in Cardiff for a small reduction.

It’s just been announced that Sunday’s Hyde Park gig has now been cancelled. So sad for Jeff, and all his fans coming to this last hurrah. ☹️
