Muse_Cubed
Well...I'm looking for one (or possibly two) last effects. Something similar to a Crowther Prunes and Custard sound but with the capacity to do regular and slightly more mellow fuzz too. I was looking at a Depth Charge...unfortunately it doesn't work with active basses apparently which it a pain in the arse. I'm quite stuck on this one though. That'll complete my rig for a while...a couple of years at least. Of course I'm always gassing for my custom bass ideas at the moment it's a birdseye maple/purple heart neck (Pedulla type neck profile), walnut body with a Macassar ebony top (or maybe buckeye burl, not decided yet), ebony fretboard, two Bartolini soapbars and an Aguilar preamp. Of course when I get it done I'm going to have to be earning money. Lots of money.
Adam
fender aerodyne Jazz bass fender jap reissue jazz MM stingray 5 line 6 pod xt pro trace elliot 2x10 combo (been reading a review on it, and after reading it there was a GAS episode, gonna stop reading bass guitar magazine, i cant handle GAS attacks anymore lol) Ad
ShergoldSnickers
Well...I'm looking for one (or possibly two) last effects.
Same here, except they'll be my first. Aphex BassXciter and Punch Factory. Then there's the second replacement pick-up from Wizard Pickups, after being so impressed with the first one. That'll be ordered tonight. J-type 84 for the bridge position. The first one has such a healthy output that the old white DiMarzio J can't keep up. Then there's a Nemesis 2x10 extension cab for the NC115. After that, the next step would be an EUB. Then a serious look at a 5/6 string fretless. Then we'd possibly be looking at upgrading the amplification. It's like painting the bleedin' Forth Bridge this lark.

Witters
So, I’m relatively new to this bass stuff and I’m rapidly falling for a fan fret five string singlecut by Cort, but my concern is “what difference do fan frets make”. Are octaves any easier? Opinions please! http://www.cortguitars.com/en/product/product_view.asp?qCate=00003&qSeries=130&qProdTag=&qPack=&qNew=&qKey=all&qWord=&idx=1264

thisisswanbon
My recent Spector Rebop 4MM purchase has cured my Bass gas (temporarily, doubt). Main things on my gas list right now are a line6 helix hx, and a Cog knightfall
Rich
Zombie thread alert! My GAS basses are still two: Wal fretted five-string, and 1965 Fender Jazz. Maybe one day... As far as fan frets are concerned, there is this thread: ...but I suspect you're after something rather less specialised than this appears to be. Might be worth starting a new thread. Chris2112
A Warwick Dolphin. My GAS for these is transient; I always want one but at times it's stronger for some unknown reason. I will have to get one some day.
