Which bass... oh dear me which bass?

Spector all the way for me. The only Warwick shape I've ever liked is the Thumb bass, since I saw Jack Bruce with one. I thought about getting one, but was put off by the price, and the fact that that the body size might suit Jack, but not me, since I am about 18 inches taller than JB. :)

...but the Streamer is the same shape as the spector? Licensed from them to be exact...

I'd go for the Warwick since I have one and love it to bits! Saying that they're both good basses, but not in hollowflash - that look gets old pretty quick!

He does? I thought he was back on Fenders :)

Warwick all the way for me, I have the swamp ash version of that bass and I've yet to play anything better. I preferred it to the Spector I tried as well, but that was a lower model (a Performer, I think).

What I'd do is get yourself down to London and go to Sound Control (it's in Virgin Megastore on Oxford Street), then go to the shops on Denmark Street, after that The Bass Centre and finally The Bass Gallery. Sound Control should have a decent range of Spectors and the Bass Centre has a massive range of Warwicks. Spend the whole day and try out as many instruments as you can. Then and only then will you start to know what you want.

Hmmm, the mind boggles. I've only ever seen him playing Fender or Godlyke. He was playing Fender at the VMAs as well, apparently.

Troy Sanders' brother Kyle, who plays in a band called Bloodsimple, plays leftie Warwicks. But I've never seen Troy play them - only ever the Fender/Heartfield basses and Godlyke basses. Neither is he on Warwick's site as an endorsee.
