RAY AGAINST THE MACHINE Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago (edited) Just a heads up ! I’m not going . I’ll stay with the memories I have of the times I’ve seen them in the past ! For those of you who are going ( or trying hard to get tkts), I wish you good luck ! Let us know the cost 😀 Edited 2 hours ago by RAY AGAINST THE MACHINE Quote
WinterMute Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago I'm going to Toronto in August, I've seen them maybe 20 times over the years, they're my all-time favourite band. I'm really stoked to see what they'll do with the songs and the staging, it won't be Rush, that band died with Neil Peart, but Lee and Lifeson are way too good to quit, Anika Nilies is a phenomenal drummer and it'll be a chance to see how those boys play their music in a different format. I'll be trying for tickets for the O2 in 2027 too. Quote
cetera Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago Yep, heard last week that this was to be announced today. Will try for tickets but if they're as expensive as I'm expecting, I may have to sadly withdraw from going... Quote
Bassassin Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago Not up for spending £300+ for ticket to watch a tired nostalgia act from the back of some soulless, cavernous enormodrome, doing precisely what they swore they would never do. Last time I saw them they were touring a concept album which was the best thing they'd done in decades. And a fitting end point to a remarkable career as artists and performers. Happy to leave it there, personally. Quote
Lozz196 Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago I’ve never seen them before so will consider it, depending on cost etc Quote
prowla Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago I last saw them on the Clockwork Angels tour at the O2. TBH, I've felt more involved listening to an album or watching a gig on TV. They've recently decided to cash in in any way they can; their re-releases are too expensive and I'm not up for paying inflated prices on tickets. It's a bit disappointing, really. Quote
wateroftyne Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago I've got mixed feelings, but I'm probably going to go to Manchester... unless the tickets are even more extortionate than I expect. Quote
hiram.k.hackenbacker Posted 24 minutes ago Posted 24 minutes ago I will be trying to get tickets. I’ve been put off going to big gigs by the demand pricing that has permeated the booking systems, but Rush are are of the very few names I’m willing to overlook that for. Just to see them again at the Taylor Hawkins Trib was good; this will be great. FWIW I think the Super Deluxe re-releases are great. Anyone heard the Terry Brown remix of Distant Early Warning? The Power Windows SD might even have been announced by the time they get here 🤘 Quote
Rich Posted 22 minutes ago Posted 22 minutes ago (edited) Predictably, "UK" = Glasgow, Manchester and London. They might as well be on feckin Jupiter. Edited 21 minutes ago by Rich Quote
Wombat Posted 18 minutes ago Posted 18 minutes ago (edited) If there is money there I'm sure we will see a gig... Edited 18 minutes ago by Wombat Typo Quote
RAY AGAINST THE MACHINE Posted 5 minutes ago Author Posted 5 minutes ago For the price of the tickets I’d rather get one of these instead .. Quote
