TimR Posted 15 hours ago Posted 15 hours ago Bloody hell! There is a thread somewhere about finger injuries. 🤣 I once sliced the tops of my index and middle finger on the day of a gig. I wrapped them in micropore, but halfway through our first set, someone from the audience was gesturing at my white bass that had splatter marks all across it. 🤦♂️ 2 Quote

I bought a bloody white Van Halen bass from the off! 😁 2 Quote
Si600 Posted 12 hours ago Posted 12 hours ago Chainsaws are terrifying things, or at least, mine scares the bejeebers out of me, but really: "The 64-year-old, who had picked up the chainsaw by the blade to cut a piece of wood,"? Quote
Owen Posted 12 hours ago Posted 12 hours ago The trousers which are full of fluff that are meant to stop a chainsaw in it's tracks really do work. I also have two completely functioning legs. There is a conncection here. 2 Quote

I had exactly the same thought... 🤔 🤦🏻 Quote
Downunderwonder Posted 10 hours ago Posted 10 hours ago A dozy thing to do but ordinarily one would not come completely undone picking up a chainsaw by the 'blade' You might slice a couple of fingers on the points when it got away away on you but the blade is stationary until you gun it. I am calling BS on the whole thing. It would be a superhuman effort to grasp the chainbar ahead of the drive motor and lift. Like trying to pick up a bass horizontal from the 3rd fret. There is a front handle for that. One handing the saw while operating and using other hand to muck about with the wood and oops/AAAAAAARRRRGGG!!!!!. That I can buy. Quote
TimR Posted 9 hours ago Posted 9 hours ago While Martin is known mostly for being in Eastenders and Gogglebox, he also played a bit of bass in the 80s. But he is currently touring his DJ set. Hurting a few fingers but still being able to press a few buttons on his laptop surely gains some kudos amongst the millenials? Quote
Si600 Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago @Downunderwonder I had exactly the same thought overnight. I can't see how just picking it up by the chainbar would do any serious harm. Certainly you could cut yourself because you are grabbing the sharp bits and it would be a good effort given where the center of balance is on a chainsaw. More than likely he picked up the thing he was cutting and moved it without paying enough attention to what he was doing. Quote
