YellowLedBetterBass Posted 23 hours ago Posted 23 hours ago "we are a guitar factory in China" Authentic? No. Scam? Also no. Just don't expect high quality with it. Quote
jezzaboy Posted 23 hours ago Posted 23 hours ago It`s a fake from a factory in China selling on E bay. It`s says so down in the description. It doesn`t actually say it`s a fake but I do know a real one costs a few bob. Quote
chris_b Posted 22 hours ago Posted 22 hours ago (edited) Chinese factories selling on eBay. . . . what you see is not always what you get. There was an article about people buying clothes from Chinese companies and a totally different design turned up. Good luck returning the product and getting a refund!! You'll find the postage back to China prohibitive. Edited 22 hours ago by chris_b Quote
lowlandtrees Posted 21 hours ago Author Posted 21 hours ago I thought all this stuff but some Chinese factories do good copies and you would not expect high quality for that price. Just happens to be my dream acoustic guitar….never heard the bass Quote
Pea Turgh Posted 20 hours ago Posted 20 hours ago I’m not aware of the maker or the model, but I’m guessing the design brief was “can you make a bass out of my nan’s side table and lamp?”. 1 Quote

Look at it from the other angle, what can go wrong, and what will you do when it does! Tick all the negative boxes and then decide if you want to risk your cash. Quote
Cato Posted 18 hours ago Posted 18 hours ago (edited) There's been a few threads from Basschatters who have taken a punt on this sort of thing from Chinese online marketplaces over the years. My impression is it's a bit of gamble, while some have been pretty pleased with what turned up, I think most of the instruments have required at least some additional work to get them up to standard. And , as pointed out above, if you're unhappy enough to want to send it back or nothing turns up at all then the usual consumer protections may well not apply with a Chinese based exporter Edited 18 hours ago by Cato 1 Quote
Beedster Posted 18 hours ago Posted 18 hours ago What a f***ing awful looking instrument, frets aren't even parallel (might be photo), plus why such a wide neck, could easily fit another string on there And then, there's the feedback..... Quote

Well no wonder the cast steel yoke broke! Who tries to grind freshly shelled cirnvwith a guitar? Quote
Kev Posted 11 hours ago Posted 11 hours ago Scam, in so far as I'd bet an awful lot of money that what you receive is not what is pictured. Quote
dave_bass5 Posted 10 hours ago Posted 10 hours ago (edited) Christ, scam or not, why on earth would anyone even want that abomination 🤣 Edited 10 hours ago by dave_bass5 1 Quote
itu Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago These products do not seem to be suitable for your hands. If the price is right, you can buy ten instruments to cover holes in the wall. Quote
Doctor J Posted 38 minutes ago Posted 38 minutes ago 17 hours ago, Beedster said: why such a wide neck, could easily fit another string on there It looks like a Fender width neck but the bridge is a narrow-spaced Hofner type. It'd be resolved by putting a 19mm spaced bridge on there. Quote
