rwillett Posted April 4, 2025 Posted April 4, 2025 Well it's unusual... I quite like it, not enough to want it though... 1 Quote
ahpook Posted April 4, 2025 Posted April 4, 2025 Shows you why you need scratchplates - almost everything not covered by it has been worn away 1 8 Quote
Tim2291 Posted April 8, 2025 Posted April 8, 2025 Tbf, this is pretty horrible, but I guess it isn't really that different to any of the Steinberger style basses that are missing their body! I guess it eliminates the issue of it slipping off your leg when you sit down... Bloody horrible though! Quote

Happy Jack Posted April 9, 2025 Posted April 9, 2025 Has anyone started a thread about Tone Formica? 1 Quote
alyctes Posted April 9, 2025 Posted April 9, 2025 I'd be more impressed if it was painted, not made of zebrawood. Someone has not thought that through - "exotic" wood as a selling point, but then take most of it away. Hmmm. Quote

ezbass Posted April 10, 2025 Posted April 10, 2025 The actual scratchplate is pretty horribly cut. Shame, as otherwise, as a travel bass, it has potential, such an easy fix too. Quote
Graham_C Posted April 11, 2025 Posted April 11, 2025 They actually have some cool stuff in their store. Not too sure on it making here to the UK from China, though. May end up being more hassle than it's worth? Quote

I've had quite a few instruments from China and Vietnam over the years, no problems. Quote

Haven't had any import tax problems either - I did have to pay VAT on one bass from Vietnam once, about 20 years ago, but buying from AliExpress or Ebay that is all handled for you. Quote
