Obviously since myself and @neepheid are hardened Scots, we can always sort out your lust for a gladiatorial spectacle by doing battle for the last deep fried Mars Bar, glass of Buckfast or wrap of heroin. Whatever you all think is more stereotypically appropriate.

Request: If anyone has a bass (normal or 6 string piccolo variety) with a Fishman Fluence pickup I'd be very grateful if you could bring it. Reason being I've been reading and seeing a lot of chatter about them and want to hear what it's all about.

If anybody is interested in 3d printing, Amazon has an offer on eSun PLA+ Fire Engine red. It's only available for Prime members and only in red and is £20 for four 1Kg rolls. Normally price is between £13-£15 per 1Kg roll. I've ordered a lot as I do a lot of printing. If anybody wants any rolls and are not members of Amazon Prime (or even Amazon), I'm happy to order more and I'll bring the rolls down this weekend. You pay around £5 a roll which is dirt cheap.

Not posh at all and certainly not from Edinburgh.

 

I was making note of the fact that the "Bash" without corporate sponsors will have more modest purses for the combatants than a fully fledged MMA card. Hence, it may prove a struggle to procure a whole bottle of Buckfast or glucose and rat poison laden wrap of gear for the victors.

 

However, if it is possible to "get us up to the big leagues," I'm all for it.

I was simply turned away by security before I even got to the exam room...  They claimed they lost my entry form on thirteen separate occasions.

Theresa Scanners? John "x-ray" Scanners eldest daughter? 

She was legendary at Taunton Aerodrome Security as nothing got past her. Eventually she was sacked because so many passengers complained they had to board the planes without their luggage or clothes.

I will bring a ToneX and Mod Dwarf and a laptop but would love to try a decent FRFR speaker.

Any interest in having your valves tested? If so I’ll bring my Orange Valve Tester. It tests most types of preamp and power amp valves commonly used in guitar and bass amps, but not rectifiers.

LFSys will indeed be there, as usual. I'm currently trying desparately to get orders out and build some demo cabinets for the Bash. It looks like I'll be bringing a Monaco, a Monza and a Silverstone II. Together with a Classic Vibe P-bass and a Trace TE1200.

At a recent Bash, I was given a load of faulty cables. I am in the middle of going through them and repairing them. If Mike lets me, I will take a small table and display them to sell. They will not have the lifetime guarantee I give with my bespoke cables, but they will be good spare cables and I will guarantee them for a year. 

 

There are instrument (2-6m) and speaker cables (0.5-1.2m). Where the current connectors are usable, I will reuse them, where they are not, I will replace them. Most of the instrument cables will have a straight plug on one end and a right-angled plug on the other. The speaker cables will have SpeakOns on both ends, either Neutrik, or Rean. 

 

Prices from £5-10.

 

Of course, I will still be taking orders for any special cable requirements you have in the meantime. 

 

Sadly I have buggerd my shoulder so the planned recycling project is on hold although I will be bringing a few cables to sell.

In that case, I will bring a little Gnome down (that's an amp as opposed to a small porcelain figure holding an anatomically incorrect fishing rod).
