Actually, I did contact Fender in the mid 90's to see if they were going to issue a Clinton Jizz bass, but I never got a reply. Close, but no cigar....... 1 5 Quote

Stub Mandrel Posted February 2, 2025 Posted February 2, 2025 All of the guitars featured on GetTrumpGuitars.com were custom designed and developed by a Veteran owned company with the help of a master luthier. These guitars have been manufactured by multiple providers and include parts/features that are both domestic and international. This is standard with most guitar manufacturers. 1 Quote

PainInTheBass Posted February 3, 2025 Posted February 3, 2025 I'm disappointed there isn't a Donald Trump Junior version 😂 1 Quote
jd56hawk Posted February 4, 2025 Posted February 4, 2025 So, a new Fender tjat isn't even a relabeled Squier Classic Vibe, merely an Affinty bass with the cheaper ceramic pickups instead of the alnico pickups in the CVs. I'm guessing cheaper pots, tuners, etc. Hats off to Fender for charging $600 for a bass that's worth half that, though. Great marketing strategy, right up there with Jackson for duping people into buying the Concert X bass. 1 Quote

Definitely, I just hope these are of decent quality as there are some excellent basses around that cost less, if they’re no good Fender might well be shooting themselves in the foot. It took them years to get away from the dubious 70s reputation, but not much competition back then, I think back to my Vintage Tony Butler Precision, a whole load of bass for still under £500, this - and Sire - is what they’re up against now. 1 Quote

Geek99 Posted February 6, 2025 Posted February 6, 2025 I would’nt mind paying 549 for a “real” fender 1 Quote

We can say they are underwhelming or there are "better" alternatives for the same or less money but branding is king and these will sell for the above reason. 1 Quote
Geek99 Posted February 6, 2025 Posted February 6, 2025 I’ll never be able to afford or justify a super-expensive fender Quote
lemmywinks Posted February 6, 2025 Posted February 6, 2025 You can get a used Highway One for about £700 when they come up for sale, that's a proper USA Fender. Quote

Depending who you ask there hasn't been a proper Fender since Leo sold the company to CBS. Not necessarily my view btw. Quote

These are Mexican made and finished in the USA. Highway One runs between the two countries. The made in USA sticker doesn't mean all parts were made there. Just so we're all clear on that. It doesn't mean they're not good,I'm just saying not be overly seduced by the USA label 😊👍 Quote

In that light it’s not a bad purchase. 1 Quote
