FS: Musicman Audiophile HD500 £350 Whitstable

Rather a rare beast, designed by Marco of MarkBass fame, built in Italy, it's a versatile and well voiced unit. However, far too much gear and far too little space forces sale (studio build in progress also so money is more useful than amps at present)

 

I'd prefer collection but can post, it is however not lightweight!

But it is rather nice and rather unusual so I get it. Time to drive is not plentiful at present, very happy to send this to you on spec, pay me if you like it, send it back if you don't?

Much as it'd be great to see you and revisit Clackett Lane etc, etc, buying another amp would be a potential major health risk for me here at home.. 😉😁

 

It's a rare, high quality amp you're selling, so no doubt it'll find a good new home soon.

I'm guessing the footswitch would let you switch between the channels and possibly combine both.

Yes, two preamp channels, but sadly I don't have the footswitch but these things tend to be quite generic in my experience?

I found a link on Talkbass that states 24lbs, I'll confirm tonight 👍

Wow I had two of these many years ago. Loved them but sold them for an SVT. Took me ages to find an original footswitch! From memory it did muting, channel switch, eq and boost. It was a lovely sounding amp. There's a valve in the pre that lights up in the little window by the gain dial.

10kgs or very close (can't speak to the accuracy of the digital scales). That's naked. i.e., out of the rack case. Oddly it felt heavier 🤔

I've got one with a footswitch that was gifted years ago but it's faulty, keep meaning to get it fixed as they sound incredible. Such a solid head. GLWTS
