Valve Amp - who’s still using them?

So, this topic has caused me to venture into the workshop and sift through my stash of valves. It's resulted in the Bassman getting a bit of TLC, and a few new valves. However, I have also  realised that I have more valves than I will ever need in my lifetime (what remains of it), some of which I've hoarded for decades. I'm going to start selling some off, and have put a few on Reverb already.

Turned up to a new rehearsal space expecting an Ampeg 8x10 but found this Orange combo… at least I could put my Handbox WB100 to some use 🥲

I still have a few valve amps keeping me company...

 

1) A 1964 Hagstrom Bass 210, 10W (1xECC83 + 1xECLL800)

 

 

2) 1968 Gibson Thor, 50W (2x6EU7 + 2xEL34)

 

 

3) Circa 1971 Carlsbro CS100TC, 100W (3xECC83 + 4xEL34). I own two of these, this is the better-looking one.

 

 

Each of them sports a unique character and is well-loved by silly old me.

 

In all fairness, I do own a couple of SS amps and a hybrid one as well, so I can't say I'm an "all valve kind of guy"...

In a change from my usual love for 'all things green and black', I've been using this lovely old thing of late. It's an '87 Skunkworks SVT-HD which I don't yet own it but there's a deal in progress. It's got bags of power plus it's amongst the most 'musical' of things I've ever plugged into, and yes, it's totally worth the weight..

Is there anywhere on the internet which provides a documented informative timeline/history/details of the Ampeg SVT, V4B or B15?

 

I'm interested in these amps, but an understanding of them eludes me just as much as the Musicman Stingray!
