1950s Bass - is it?

Looks like the headstock emblem has been put on over something older.

Seems more late 60's early 70's to me and I an not so sure on if it is home made or not but I am totally guessing

It's got the same Radiospares knobs as were used on a lot of 60s-early 70s British amps. They could have been changed at any time, or it might point towards it being cobbled together in the UK around that time.

Its not 50s imo. And I'm not sure about high quality, although it does have a certain look to it and I do kinda like it.
Looks possibly like an obscure low volume brand that was run out of a shed at the bottom of the garden.

As it happens it turned out to be Northern European - I just hope none of our Dutch friends take offence at their nation's vintage musical heritage!
