However, I have thought that at times the low end sounded a tiny bit less flabby and more pronounced. Placebo effect perhaps? Maybe. bobbass4k Posted July 6, 2011 Share Posted July 6, 2011 I'd say the thumpinator definitely depends on your amp setup, if the amp head is already filtering the range, then the Thumpinator pretty much has nothing to do. I've also taken off the Boss input selector I had on, just because I haven't been using my synth much.....all bass guitar! I've kept the effects loop on though (initially I just had it to bypass the pedals when I had the synth on), but I quite like having the input and output of the entire board in one location. I've included the recent soundclip I did of the board (forgive the buzzy jack cable I had to use). It's soooooooo NOT Dubstep There's just room for one pedal no bigger than a Boss unit. Either an OC2 or an envelope filter. Or maybe I'll just leave it as is... I own a Groove Regulator which is on my main setup and I do love it! It's a bit too large to fit on this little board though, and maybe a little deep and sunny for what I do. This has a latch mode as well so that once the drone has been triggered your foot can come off it to do something more useful (wah pedal, up on a wedge etc...). Which is nice. I do that on pedals with crowded knobs and switches. Basically I took 3 or 4 metal hex nuts, used a cyanoacrylate glue to stack them on top of each other (very similar to Krazee Glue) and then finally used some heat shrink tubing to finish it off. It allows the footswitch to be much taller so I don't accidentally break the mini toggles on the pedal.
