My thoughts are with Steves family at this time.[/quote]

A collection was made at the Bass Bash and I believe flowers and a card are being sent to his family on behalf of the forum. I didn't see the name of who it was who took the collection but thanks for doing that and as said before RIP Leftysteve........too bloody young to go! :)

Sounds like 48 years very well spent.

RIP, Steve.

All,
I just wanted to say how amazed and touched I was by all of your responses. Truly incredible. Steve would have been stunned, a little embarrased, and cursing me!!! ^_^ but my response would be it is a fitting tribute to a first class man. You're right - you are a family, and believe me, that is what will see you through anything.
Thank you. And as Steve would say, lets rock.
Polly xxx

On behalf of the forum, you're very welcome Polly :) Many thanks to Coasterbass (Nick) who deserves credit for organising the flowers and managing the whipround.

As I said to Nik before the Bash this is what I find particularly good about the forum, the fact that it is a generally friendly place and rallies round with support.

As others have said already, but it never hurts to say again, condolences on your loss Polly

It's so wrong for one so young to leave the people he loves behind. I'm sure he would be happiest if you paid tribute to his memory with a long and happy life remembering him.
very sad :)

Cheers CK - glad it all came together, and thanks to everyone who chipped in at the SE Bash.

I actually met him once when buying a piece of bass gear from him.I`m stunned as it was relatively recently. We spoke on the phone a few times and met once for the sale.He was so full of enthusiasm for bass playing in general ,and was talking of forthcoming events.Having just read of his passing I cannot but help but feel incredibly sad and would love to express my condolences to his wife and family.
