No idea what colour pickguard with Burgundy Mist discreet as you only allow mint green

Well there you go, you do have an idea - mint green!
Actually gold anodized doesn't look that bad, but I'd say mint green OR parchment. Definitely NOT tort! No, no, no!

What is the colour on the right?

Is that just a funky photo of lake placid blue? Looks awesome!

Thanks Gary :D

The first day it was up I had a serious amount of offers, marred by one who thought £500 including delivery was a good offer.
Between a fit of pique, and getting used to this (hated) computer I deleted his offer. And ALL my other communications :dash1:

Anyway, if it doesn't go in a few days, I will have a chat with Mark, see what he will offer against Burgundy P,Maple boarded jazz neck.

He will then put this one up for sale at £800 :P

Cheers,
Karl.

Good Idea Karl. I'm considering something similar myself; one of the good points of dealing with Mark was his buy-back offer. I've got a hankering for a light relic burgundy mist Stack knob Jazz and due to my one in one out policy I will almost certainly look at a trade in when the time comes.

He seems a really reasonable bloke, from the email contact I've had with him
I'm sure he won't feel "bothered" by your enquiry
and I'm sure he'll find another customer to buy your bass

I'd say, go on - give him a try
But also, see what he'd do about a neck-swap......

...don't think he would offer me quite what I need against a new build.
I don't think so either, given the short time you've had the Jazz. But I would agree there's no harm in asking him.

You should know better, 7 months is a LONG time for this magpie gear whore to keep a bass
Well yes, I had noticed :P ...but I had my Limelight Jazz for exactly two months and when I spoke to Mark about his buying it back he said given what he'd likely offer me for it I'd be better off selling it on here, which is what I did. :)

I think because a lot more are being bought these days. It's probably the same ratio as any other brand being bought then put up for sale a short while later. I think it's probably in our nature.

I didn't do any statistics or anything, it's just a theory.

I love my limelights I got a jazz and a P.

A lot of these being ordered, but a lot coming back up for sale?

I love the look of them. Perfect attention to detail.

For the record I'm hugely regretting selling my Limelight Jazz. It would have been perfect for my new project. Just goes to show you need several different instruments to cover all bases. Pun intended.

£700 for this is nowt.... how much would an off-the-shelf MIM cost you these days?
Yes. Anyone who thinks this bass is not worth £700 has obviously never played a LImelight. They don't just look the part - what you are getting is a bass that also feels and sounds like a vintage instrument costing more than ten times as much.

I don't get how basses like these can be so good? I mean you people are experts and I'm not, I'd love to own a bass that felt 'comfortable' and worn in.

Maybe if I tried one I might be a convert, I dunno as I'm still searching for the holy grail and getting nowhere, a new P is as close as I've got. :(

I've just ordered one of these as I've heard very good reports about them, who knows, we'll see.

Was yours the white one on a bench with the sound samples? That's what gave me the itch for my limelight jazz.
