BassBus
cocco, with a T-bass you'll have had a taste of what the Toy Factory can produce. Hope she comes your way soon.
cocco
Me too! I have serious Status GAS ATM. If the deal goes tits I may well cry myself to sleep for the rest of my life, or until I can afford an S2 classic headless with a spalted maple facing

Merton
Here's my latest addition to the fold: Gotta say, I love it! It's not had any gig or rehearsal time yet but just from home noodling and taking it to lessons as my teaching bass yesterday, it feels fantastic. Couldn't resist when I saw it on fleabay... BassBus
For those who didn't manage to get there, here is a selection of some of the basses on the Status stand. The star of the show was the 30th Annaversary Series II. Only 12 will be made and rumored to cost £4000+ Some of the others. The older ones had a deeper cut around the waist area of the body showing the mahogany core. Great pics, even if one is spoilt by having my big blurry mug in the background! Edit: Here's a pic of the deeper bevel on my 2010 S2: ody6.jpg Edited March 16, 2011 by Fat Rich

For me the Status basses stood out miles from the rest on looks alone. Only other ones that came close were some of the Spectors dotted around. It maybe varies from instrument to instrument. Wish I'd known it was you Rich, I'd have had a chat.

Would have been good to meet up, we'll have to be a bit more organised at the next show!
BassBus
Think I see the difference now. Here's one that Rob hadn't strung up, a HEADED S2. Have a look at the stock basses on the Status site and the headed basses seem to have the extra bevelling and headless have an even bevel all the way round. xilddx
I'm after a Kingbass Standard. I miss playing headless basses a quite bit, the styling is lovely, and the neck dimensions aren't far from my ideal.
BassBus
It was the Status neck that grabbed me. I love the flatish back, fits my little hands beautifully.
