And could I please repeat my request for a multi-effect pedal programming workshop? - my Zoom MS60B is gathering dust and frustrating the hell out of me - don't seem to be able to get my head around it at all.

After last year's M25 hell I'm thinking if I come this year it will be by train - if so I'll only be able to bring a bass and maybe some fx - my only problem is I have a very important gig on the Monday so may have to rehearse that day - if not ill be there - I'll know nearer the time - I'd be happy to do some kind of technique workshop this year but again I'll have to confirm in a few weeks once I've sorted the rehearsal thing out.

The M25 hell was caused by an incident that closed the motorway at the junction nearest the venue, just bad luck it happened that day and at that time. Hopefully won't be a problem this year.

I could potentially do a 15/20-ish minute workshop on "Practical considerations when moving to double bass, gear needs and solving on-stage difficulties" or such like? Would this be of interest?

I warn I am still basically rubbish and a blagger at DB but I have done a fair amount of gigging and know the practical issues, so this may be of value to some considering taking the plunge

I believe so! Still not sure if the Pangborn will be ready by then but the Shuker 6 should be.

I'm hoping to persuade Kris Kedzior to bring along some KK Baby Basses and give a talk/demo on what he's up to with these.

The guys who mainly run Wunjo's bass shop in Denmark Street (Tom & Lawrence) are trying to find a way to come down and give us a glimpse of life from the other side of the shop counter. Saturday is their big day of course, so it ain't easy for them.

Depending on his holiday dates, I may also be able to entice along my long-serving guitar tech, Andy Gibson (good name, huh?). Something that has been suggested several times in the past is a simple workshop on setting up basses, with maybe a (paid) set-up service available on the day, and I figured he might be able to deliver on that.

None of these is yet set in stone, but I'm working on it.
