Interesting images but one thing I have noticed on here is how important backbeats are to most folk. If one tries to create a Jazz feel, it is harder because the level of playing s is higher and getting a jazz feel out of sequencers and midi is nigh on impossible .

We shall see where this takes us :)

Might be time to dust off the upright and share some of your live playing with us, Bilbo.
looking at these and at the moment............. i got nuffin' :(
In the words of Bruce Lee (or possibly Yoda): "Don't look... feel" ;)

Seriously though Rob, it doesn't need to be a literal interpretation of the pictures. They're just meant to be a jump-off point for your imagination. I'm sure you'll hit upon something mate - be good to have you on board again.

 Currently my idea looks like this...

...but give it time mate! And a few glasses of wine. And more time. And more wine. Then a good night's sleep. And typically, the next day while, oh I dunno, seated on the lavatory I'll be struck with inspiration and hey presto! It's a moment to share, for sure :D

I have already posted this in Free VST's section,
but in case you missed it.

Not sure if it is any good - but it is aimed at creating various listening enviroments when using Headphones.
A couple of forums i visit like it.
Also a nice free compressor, that i believe Si uses.

Congratulations, Skol, on a well-deserved win in the May competi... Oh, it's perhaps a tad early, did I hear..? I just thought I'd get it over with, so that everyone else could concentrate on their entries... One never knows, one could come second..?

I'm thinking some flower-power jazz... not got a lot of time until later in May - will have a go for sure if I can think of a tune that'll work... lucky I'm off to the flowery Spa town of Cheltenham for the jazz festival this weekend then innit?
