I'd imagine there are a million and one interesting and creative things you could do with that set-up. Unfortunately, I can't really imagine that that bassline is one of the finer examples.

I'm afraid I can only agree. Desperately disappointing really.

I would die to bring that bass to the Kit show. My imagination is running riot now. I imagine so many sounds I can't achieve on a 'normal' bass rig, but until this wonderful evolution I couldn't see how it was possible without a keyboard synth. That bass is pretty much perfectly designed for what I feel I need.

If this is it? Looks more like a toy close up :(

The top half is a Misa Kitara.

And what's with the second guitarist lurking in the back ground? If you're going to use extra musicians put them where they can be seen otherwise everyone will assume you are using backing tracks.

Thanks Mike, I was searching last night and I saw the name in some links, but didn't click, I'd assumed it was a Kaoss Pad. Cheers!

I WANT ONE!!!

That thing would drive me mental - have you any idea how long it would take me to get it to sound exactly like a Precision?
Come on, you can get a plank of wood from B&Q with 4 elastic bands pulled tightly on it to sound like a precision. Be hard pushed to tell the difference.

Doesn't the guy from pendulum have something similar?
Starr Labs Ztar.

These used to be exclusively at the high end of the market - take a look at the price of the V3 - but companies like Misa Digital are forcing them to bring out more realistically priced models.

iPad on a stick plus a suitable app?
There's quite a few hardware/software solutions in development to do this. There's the Starr Labs iTar and at least one other company working on something similar.

I also want one, a lot....

I can afford the case for it, just :(

Synth pedal it is then....
Why bother with a pedal?

Just buy a keyboard synth. Far quicker and reliable to get the sound(s) you want and far more accurate when it comes to playing.
