Here's Cynthia, a Squier affinity that I got purely for the Burgundy mist colour.
It's now one of my 'essentials' basses for my covers band as we all have 'Purple' guitars (sounds a bit 'naff' but it works for us!).
Replacement pick-guard, Gotoh bridge & a set of Entwistle pick-ups & it sounds great.
Just contemplating an East retro circuit next?

AVRI 62 RI and 1975 Jazzes next to the "black sheep"...

The 75's a total boat anchor at 12lbs, but it has the most perfect JB tone that I've ever heard! 🎸

I must have taken this when I first got my jazz around 2006 as it has the original bridge on it.

I quickly fitted a badass III and that's how it's stayed up to the present day, except it has a few marks picked up from gigging. Only retired it from first choice gig bass a couple of years ago but still comes out regularly for jam sessions or dep jobs.

It now lives with another butterscotch US Fender P that has taken over as main gigging bass for now, they seem to get on fine...

Here's a quick pic of Larry,Mo and Curly. The Turdbass has no knobs due to cleaning after The Guiness Incident. Of the 3 this one is the most dangerous, it has some sort of Armageddon circuit installed, which I can only assume Rob Green designed on a stormy night in a tower room somewhere....MORE VOLTS IGOR!!!

Here is my Fender Classic '70s. Originally Black, I have had it professionally re-finished as close to Sherwood Green as I could get. I swapped the plain white guard for the pearl one, added a Badass bridge and changed the pups for the Entwistle JBXN pair.

What do you think?

My 75 Jazz, recently re-fretted by the Bass Gallery, new nut, and pickups re-potted by Bare Knuckle. Still weighs a tonne, but plays and sounds like a dream! :)
