Might have to do a Jamerson and try to use just the first finger. Saying that, I heard that Stevie Wonder once shut a limo door on Nate's fingers just before a gig and he managed to play. [/quote] Thanks I quite often play with my thumb because of joint problems. I do know who James Jamerson is, I just didn't know he had a special technique! [/quote] I used to get them all the time - a combination of nail biting and working in retail - Constantly getting notes in and out of the till aggravates them no end! My tip would be to have a little bottle of tea tree oil about the place, one with the little wand thing attached to the lid.
