Hi guys, up for sale is my Fender Mark Hoppus P-bass. It has an ash body with a rather tasty transparent surf green finish. This colour
I'm the original owner of this bass which I ordered through a local Fender dealer. When it arrived I decided to swap out the hardware for superior parts;

I changed the stock bridge for an American bridge to allow top-load stringing should it be required;

I swapped the "Mark Hoppus" neckplate for a Fender F-stamp;

swapped the lone volume pot for a stacked vol/tone with cloth wiring and an orange drop cap (also swapped out the stock Quarter Pounder for a Lindy Fralin);

Put some Schaller strap locks on.
The bass comes with the original hardware if you want the instrument stock, a vintage-style tweed hardcase, a Lindy Fralin pickup (for those of you who prefer a more traditional sound) and a worn-in pack of D'addario Chromes (flatwounds).
Pics below:
I've given the bass a good look-over and while it is virtually mint there is one small dink on the edge of the fingerboard just past the 3rd fret, bass side:
Price includes postage and packing. This is a somewhat reluctant sale but I'm in dire need of cash right now. Consequently, I'm not after trades (sorry guys!)
Thanks for looking.
Cheers,
Bob.
I for one love mine.
It's interesting that you're using a similar rig to me and your observations are also similar (I'm usually using a P-bass variant or Stingray into a Spyder 550 into a pair of Aguilar DB112s). The MT is an amazing little box, an indispensable piece of kit on my board.
I sold an Ashdown rig to Martin recently.
After he showed a lot of interest I held onto the rig until he got the money and when he did, I delivered it in person.
Then things became interesting; no one would be at his place as I was passing so he trusted me (practically a stranger) to enter his place, drop the amp off and pick the money up.
He was true to his word and I was true to mine. Martin was an absolute pleasure to deal with and seemed like top gentleman from our comms.
I'd recommend him
I just sold Greg my Fender/Warmoth Fenderbird.
He arrived at the meeting point about a minute after I did and the transaction went very smoothly.
A pleasure to do business with
If I didn't buy my first Stingray from Higgie this year I'd be tempted by this. I'm determined to own one player that also happens to be a Y.O.B. instrument
Man, I wish I was a Jazz bass sort of guy, I would take this off your hands right NOW.
"You don't need a Jazz, you'll only neglect it for a P, you don't need a Jazz, you'll only neglect it for a P, you don't need a Jazz, you'll....."
I gave my Ric a setup and a good clean. While I was at it I thought I'd take some fresh pics:

Would you take body parts as payment?
I've got a kidney which has been worn in comfortably and has plenty of life left in it.
I also have 10 toes with a unique grain pattern on the nails.
At a stretch I could possibly throw in a foot.
PM if you're interested
All joking aside, those are absolutely beautiful! If I had the money I'd go for them.
I have to say I love this colour too!
I also have a blueburst 4003 except mine is from one of the first runs... Doesn't have the newer features and the burst is a lot darker.
If it's anything like mine the colour absolutely pops iin person.
