I could mount it down the back of the mini but I don't really like to put strain on the George Ls (a poorly made one crapped out on me at a gig YEARS ago and I've been paranoid of them losing connection ever since). I can get the TFR to work for my current groups but I definitely prefer the BB as everything I'm playing is too polite to warrant some mean-ass fuzz.

I like my compression near the start. However, I felt that the Pwnzor was better after filter, and then I needed dirt before the filter so now it's second to last in the chain. I find compressor works as either an always on effect or can be used to bring the bass up for certain songs or passages. Depending on the gig, I'll have it on all the time or I'll step on it for something a bit flashy like slap or tap... or even just for a ballad where a laid back, but fat bass line is needed. If you roll the gain all the way off it makes for a nice clean boost too!

Fender USA '62 Precision Vintage Reissue

Aguilar got back to me. They're going to look into it and get in touch on Tuesday due to the long weekend. Unfortunately I can't mount the Thumpinator underneath as there's not enough clearance from the floor but it could be fixed if I put some big feet on it.
-
I'd got for the BB. The Phat Phuk is good but the BB is more versatile, can get pretty phat and do that Jack Bruce thing with the gain up and treble rolled back a bit.

I've emailed Aguilar to ask if the Tone Hammer 500 has a HPF. If so I can remove the Thumpinator from the board which would leave me room to do this: I helped out some friends get some metal bass tones last night and I fell in love with the TFR (as did everyone else, especially with the B7K). I'm going to do a gig tonight without tweeters and see if I can get it to work in the mix. For tonight my setup is as such: (I haven't fully gotten to grips with the B7K but I've managed to get a nice, low gain, growly tone out of it which isn't as warm as the BB but would serve the purpose of filling the bass out when our guitarist solos... I'll let you know how it goes.) I'm also going to try the TFR with lower gain tonight.

Nice board, Kev! I must say it'd be nice to have a Phat Phuk again. Such a lovely, warm sounding pedal but I found I could get an approximate sound with a BB pre so I figured that would take its place.

It's hard to say. I guess it's down to personal preference and equipment. I tried running an active Fender through my equipment and noticed a very slight treble roll off. Noticed it more with a passive. I'd say it's healthy to have at least one buffer on a board. With an active bass it's not as important but if you had only passives I'd definitely put one in the chain. The B7K has to have a buffered bypass in order for the DI to work when the pedal's disengaged apparently.

In fact, after toying with the idea I would happily not post pictures of my Ric on this board ever again, even if it's just to prove a point to Mr. Hall. Go for the full ban I say.

I love my 4003 but I'd like to point out I've changed my signature.
-
Anyone want to make a Matsumoku TRC for my 4003?
-
Ah right, I thought it was a question of whether or not it changes the tone while performing its function. I did notice with my live rig my cabs seem to sound a bit tighter in the lows and I don't have to push my amps quite as hard.
-
I like my 4003. It's not as nice to play as my Fenders or MM and it has a mid-range focused sound that can be a pain to EQ but I love its vibe. The attitude of John Hall has certainly poisoned my opinion of Rickenbacker over the years. I was banned from their forums for saying that I find John Hall's methods questionable on TALKBASS which goes to show the mentality of "you're with us or against us". Whenever I see crap like this crop up I'm always tempted to sell the Rick.

Thanks dudes. The Thumpinator doesn't change the tone as far as I can tell. I took it out the chain out of curiosity and noticed a slight roll off of treble (no buffers between bass and amp). Currently have two buffers now (Thump and B7K) and I don't perceive a difference in tone running clean.
-
That said, it is one of those "I can't sell this because it sounds too good" pieces of kit. It will be used in the future for other projects and recording.
-
Unfortunately I like to have at least one tweeter on 50% in my rig and the TFR doesn't sound that great unless I turn the tweeter off. That and my current projects don't really call for fuzz If I could fit it on I would.

Got the B7K today. I like it but the EQ certainly gives you something to think about; I found dialling in tones more difficult than the B3K but it is certainly more flexible. Will have to see how it sounds live:
I'll give them that the other things I ordered came in good time (really good time) it's just incredibly frustrating when something like this happens. The power supply and cables I also ordered are pretty much useless without the board. After bouncing a few emails with them (their responses were top notch) they offered me some alternatives to the PT mini, 2 out of the 3 being more expensive. Maybe I was just unlucky.. The PT's on amazon are from a german company unfortunately, thanks for the suggestions though!
Well at least they were nice. I got the impression they'd sort of fobbed you off.

And in response to OP: There's some here being sold through Amazon Marketplace: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Pedaltrain-Mini-Soft-Case-Pedalboard/dp/B002HQOWKE Could try eBay too.

Sorry if that sounds bitter and dismissive but I hate it when companies do this sort of stuff; working musicians NEED their gear for rehearsals and gigs. If they can take the time to mark other products out of stock then they should ensure they do it with all products (as this leads the customer to believe it's in stock when it's not... like in your case). Years ago I ordered a rig from Andertons. Paid for next day courier. Next day arrives, no show. Had to cancel a rehearsal. Next day, no show. Day after, no show. Ended up managing to borrow someone else's amp last minute for a weekend gig. I don't recall the conversations I had with them but it essentially boiled down to "it's in the courier's hands". Haven't bought anything from them since.
-
Well, I can safely say they've lost a potential customer here.

Mad Capsule Markets are also worth a mention (Digitech Whammy, overdrive, arpeggiators off the top of my head in different songs):
