1. http://www.oznium.com/led-ribbon They don't come with a 2.1mm barrel socket; they're a pair of pins (one +, one -) and you put the barrel jack in so that they light up as so: http://www.oznium.com/linear-light-power-adapter-wire/tech Thanks for the feedback, guys I like to keep things simple as more the stuff I have going on the more likely something is going to go wrong! Glad to hear they should be alright. Cheers, Bob.
2. Hi guys, I recently hooked up a pair of LED strips to the underside of my pedalboard. They're 12V DC (running at 9V), have a current draw of about 150mA and are running off the daisy chain from a Onespot: I've been testing the board at home and haven't noticed any form of hiss/hum/noise as a result of these lights running on the same daisy chain as my pedals. I was wondering if anyone can foresee any potential problems with this setup? With my limited knowledge of electronics I'm fairly certain they won't cause any issues but I'd just like to check with people who are more knowledgeable than I Cheers, Bob.

Kev's Feedback

Bought an IE Polytope from Kev. Sound guy, flawless transaction. I would definitely do business with him again!
4. Lovely! My first bass was a MIJ P. I regret parting it out for various frankenstein endeavours If I could I would mate.
5. Yeah mate, it's still for sale. PM me
6. As far as I know the consensus on these is that there isn't a drop in signal quality but even when using them with pedals that have jacks perfectly in-line with each other, they can place unnecessary strain on the jacks when you step on the pedals (this is obviously far worse if the pedals are off-centre with each other).

8. As soon as Taylor fixes the noise issue I will be ordering one! My subtle overdrive can be damned it means I can have a decent octave and synth in a small enclosure

10. I like Chromes. They have a nice presence to them and they aren't totally thumpy when broken in. I guess you could liken them to some dirty, old nickel-rounds except with far less string/finger noise and more warmth.
11. I'd say the body's probably alder. On the US Deluxe line Fender tended to use alder for solid colours and ash for transparent (such as aged cherry sunburst, teal green transparent). That said, my US Deluxe P is in amber (transparent) and has an alder body with a bold grain.
12. I can't remember the name of the series but I believe there were some early-mid 90s Jazzes that had slimmer bodies than usual and 22 frets (similar the the US deluxes of the mid-late 90s).
13.
I like the lead balloon in the middle of this interview:
Oh wow. Talk about full of s***.
14. Not intended as an attack, more like an opinion that I typed out before thinking it through. For the sake of BC I'll shut my mouth on the topic but a part of me would love for him to chase me up on it.
15. John Hall is a pig. I prefer to think of the factory workers and CNC machines when I enjoy my 4003 and keep that arrogant asshat from my thoughts as much as possible.
16. I could mount it down the back of the mini but I don't really like to put strain on the George Ls (a poorly made one crapped out on me at a gig YEARS ago and I've been paranoid of them losing connection ever since). I can get the TFR to work for my current groups but I definitely prefer the BB as everything I'm playing is too polite to warrant some mean-ass fuzz.
17. I like my compression near the start. However, I felt that the Pwnzor was better after filter, and then I needed dirt before the filter so now it's second to last in the chain. I find compressor works as either an always on effect or can be used to bring the bass up for certain songs or passages. Depending on the gig, I'll have it on all the time or I'll step on it for something a bit flashy like slap or tap... or even just for a ballad where a laid back, but fat bass line is needed. If you roll the gain all the way off it makes for a nice clean boost too!
18. Man, if I were in the market for a P I would be on this in a heartbeat; it's only two years off being a birth-year bass for me! I will own a '62 reissue someday.
