1. Here are my two current Precisions: Fender US Deluxe Precision Bass V w/ Aguilar OBP3 and Nordstrand NP5: Fender Mark Hoppus (2011) with US Standard Precision neck, HMV bridge, Nordstrand NP4, concentric vol/tone with orange drop cap, custom pickguard with the P route in the standard position (moved from the neck back towards the bridge with the second coil flipped the correct way around):
2. The things on this board that I consider essential are the tuner, [sfx] Micro Thumpinator, Compressor (PWNZOR) and B7K which I use as either an overdrive, heavy distortion, preamp or EQ boost for passages depending on the gig. The fuzz is for a handful of songs and for fun. The filter has similar duties but when you run the two together you get some amazing synth tones so I consider these two useful but non-essential gravy.
3. Bought a set of pickguard blanks from me. Fast payment and good comms. Would happily do business with again!
4. Hi guys, got a set of used, calibrated BKP Rebel Yells with nickel covers (six string guitar humbuckers.) If you're not familiar with Bare Knuckle Pickups they're handwound The covers could do with a bit of a clean and there's some tasteful wear on them but nothing eye-scarring (some scratches, little dots, doesn't have the same sheen as a new set but still shiny with a polish.) The bridge has plenty of authority with tight, controlled bass and healthy doses of mids and highs. The neck pickup is a little mellower and not as aggressive in its midrange. I'd say they're pretty versatile humbuckers; they can cover hard rock, hair rock and both pickups clean up wonderfully when you dial back the volume controls allowing for some rather sweet blues tones (I've played ska using these pickups to great effect.) More info can be found here: https://bareknucklep...ckup=rebel_yell These are currently sold as a covered set for £235 so I'm asking for [s]£140[/s] [s]£120[/s] £110 posted. Cheers, Bob
5. Definitely depends on what effects you're using. I find modulation, delay and reverb are passable on a computer. Anything gain based I've used has always sounded better if it's coming from an amp or pedal (in my experience.)
6. I'm a big fan of Bare Knuckle Pickups (the guitar pickups at least.) I've heard nothing but good things about the Mississippi Queens although I've not used them. Currently have a set of Rebel Yells which I'm trading in for some lower gain Mules.

I've used a handful of different supplies over the years but for the last couple of years I've been using a One Spot with no issues whatsoever.

9. I've tried it with an active and a passive. Excellent results both time
10. Two actives and two passives. The only active that I have to treat a little differently is my American P V that had an Aguilar OBP 3 in it (big, big output... was clipping my PWNZOR until I turned the input gain down and played a little lighter).
11. Thank you! I have really taken to top-mounted jacks since moving down to a PT Mini. You also have a lovely board

The Sub-T is great for those really massive synth tones but again, not quite for me. Definitely keeping it though for future projects and recording purposes (could probably run an old Yamaha keyboard into it for a synthesiser on the cheap).

I think my main beef with the Subterranea is that it reacts differently to different basses. That's fine for most pedals, and quite expected but the difference between different basses is too inconsistent; with my P bass everything tracks pretty well down to the D above middle C. On my Stingray the octave tracks quite clean down to about G but the synth voices bottom on the D and G strings =\ I recorded better sounding clip of Higher Ground with similar settings but Soundcloud kept removing it so here's the next best thing: https://soundcloud.com/bigbassbob/youre-doom-superstition
How is You're Doom? About the only new pedal that is tempting me at the moment! I trust Taylor has solved the SubT bleed issue now?
I'm enjoying it quite a bit https://soundcloud.com/bigbassbob/youre-doom-starlight The Sub-T bleed issue is gone but I think I'm a little underwhelmed by the pedal overall. It's a cool little box but not quite for me.

Nice! I really do love me some Twin Peaks I got a handful of other comics too but my friends who are more versed in the world of comics told me I needed to read Killing Joke Hope the Diabolik is what you're looking for!
17. I'm glad I didn't cause offence, Excane, was just giving my opinion. I'd rather have your demos and the like instead of none I think it's great that loads of people can produce varying videos and samples of the same piece of kit with different results and the more of them there are the better it is for potential buyers. I just got a You're Doom and I'm in love! I know I said before that I felt there were too many notes going on in your video but in person the low end punch actually lets you play some quite busy lines with the same kind of punch as playing clean. I'll be doing a video or some covers with it in the New Year

I received an Iron Ether Sub-T on Monday and I just got a pretty sweet pile of goodies for Christmas
19. Make sure your soldering technique is acceptable before taking on a project. Practice wiring some pots or something first. It's not fun having to go back over loads of sloppy (but working) solder joints to find the bad one.
20. I don't even need/use a Whammy and I'm interested even if it's just for messing around with at home. Borrowed a friend's Whammy IV years ago and had a blast but with this being polyphonic I'm sure there's plenty more fun to be had.
