1. Boss DR-3: Received as a gift several years ago and I've used it a handful of times. It's spent most of its life sat in storage. Immaculate condition with all the paperwork, power supply and original box (which is looking a bit tatty but it will be adequately packed for shipping). [s]£90 £80 £60 £50 posted[/s] SOLD Cheers, Bob
2. TC Electronic Ditto Looper - £50 posted SOLD Great little looper and an excellent, affordable way to get into looping. Practically as new with velcro on the bottom. I no longer have its box and manual but you can get the manual online easily enough (and it's a very straight forward pedal to use anyway). Tone Freak Abunai 2 - £Withdrawn posted The best TS-808 clone I've used with three different types of clipping and a tonne of gain on tap if you need it. It has true bypass and uses the classic JRC4558 op amp. There's some minor wear on the print on the pedal's face but the pedal itself is in excellent condition overall. It has velcro on the bottom and an "LED dim" sticker over its ridiculously bright blue LED but you can peel it off easily enough without any residue and the like. Thanks for looking!
3. I'm kind of GAS free at the moment. I've got a Boomerang III coming which I'm eager to play with. Depending on how composition goes I MIGHT grab a BeatBuddy for percussion and midi sync them. Bass wise I'm quite content but I've been thinking about getting a Status fretless neck for my Stingray for a while for those times I want to pretend I'm Pino or Levin.
4. All controversy aside I'm curious to hear what these pedals are like once people have had their hands on them for a while. I REALLY like the B7K and, in my humble opinion, its modern, baked-in sound isn't that discernible in a full band-setting (at least how I use it) and I find I can tune it to be a clean boost (with some EQing), a bit gritty to producing metallic hellfire. I do wonder if the the Vulcan XL is more my thing though....
5. Excellent stuff. What a lovely thread
6. Probably the Neunaber Slate (and the extra footswitch) as I can program four different effects into it and switch between them on the fly. Mine it currently set up with reverb, delay, chorus and shimmer.
7. That's a really good demo! Thank you for sharing.
8. One of the things I didn't like about the Deep Impact was it was a little polite in its bite for my taste (which is probably why some guys like to run it into other dirt further down the chain). The Future Impact sounds better to my ears but I can't really justify the price to have something which I would most likely only use at home.
9. Now THAT is dedication!
10. BUMP!
11. In what way does it not sound right? The notes? The tone?
12. The mid-range hump is kind of what gives a TS its charm but as others have said, you can modify them quite easily. It's one of the most popular OD circuits in the world (if not the most) and there's a lot of schematics online (you could even build one yourself for quite cheap with a DIY kit and tune it to taste).
13. Thanks! It's a Neunaber Slate; I use it for reverb, delay, chorus and shimmer (the pedal to the left of the tuner controls which effect is in use and can switch between two preset settings based on where you set the knobs previously).
14. Excellent looking boards as usual! Not much has changed for me but I've reacquired a Whammy for lead playing on top of loops. I'm looking at grabbing a Boomerang III (and perhaps a BeatBuddy) sometime next year to expand some ideas I've been working on....
15. That demo's FILTHY.
16. Bought a Whammy from Si this month. Great comms, quick delivery and incredibly well packaged
17. My vote is the 3Leaf Audio Octavbre with Tim-tuning.
18. I think it's a case of practice, confidence and having someone who can sing with you to help you along. I only used to sing to myself and occasionally at open mic nights but recently I've been singing harmonies in my new-ish prog rock band. I used to think I was terrible but it was a case of having the confidence to project my voice and accept that you might hit a bum note but you'll hit lots of good notes afterwards and those bum notes become fewer and further between. If I don't sing moderately regularly I lose my ability somewhat. Quitting the fags has helped miles though (with lung capacity and range).
19. I only use light compression live but I tend to use just enough to even out the dynamics ever so slightly... mostly to bring the quieter parts up to volume while allowing me to play sensitively (think "Don't Stop me Now" by Queen). I feel, for me, when the compression starts to become noticeable, it's usually set too strong.
20. Drummers and volume projection.
21. BUMP!
22. Really smart Higgie!
23. Mate, I think you MIGHT have just pasted the wrong url....
24. Curious to hear about how it is!
