1. TTT and slight price drop (again) so now £650. Even though I dig my Warwicks, and can't really see myself using this loads so hence one reason for the sale. I'm still tempted to leave it under the bed if it doesn't go soon lol!
2. I've bought a few basses off Ash and no worries at all, good BC'er.
3.
They are not trendy at all but there's something about the design of Warwicks I love.
+1 I think what got me into them was Stuart Zender and his Stage 1. Dig the early Jamiroquai and especially his playing. Mind you it's a long time since their first album now lol! By the way lovely Jazzman, looks superb.
4. .... if they made such a thing as a Broadneck variant I'd have it. This does seem a great price for a very versatile bass, GLWTS.
5. TTT The market is still a bit odd at the moment isn't it
6. TTT, it is a really nice bass folks
7. TTT .... would consider a meet-up if not too far. Also in the Lincolnshire area Sun/Mon next week if that helps.
8. .... and replied. Still available folks.
9. TTT ... the market does seem slow, yikes! Yeah, Warwicks for the moment it seems Rich!
10. ... an amazing finish on that one you have there!
11. Hey there, If you look at my F/S thread here (http://basschat.co.u...ight-jazz-l700/) the jazz has a chrome one on. From what I can remember of an original Badass II the Omegas are a very good copy. I've had loads of original ones, both pre factory grooved and multi grooved. I haven't compared them side to side but the material they are made out of is very similar (a Zinc alloy) and they look pretty much identical (apart from the Omegas don't have any writing on the underside of the bridge). If you can't get hold of a decent original (most of the saddles are mullered used aren't they!) then the Omega is a very good option. You also won't have the word BUM on your bass ! .... oh and if you buy them from the USA they are about half that price above!! Peace.
12. TTT now with a specific trade option added folks.
13. Hi there Three, The original parts taken off went onto a Fender Roadworn jazz I sold on here not too long ago, so I don't have them. I do have the tug bar and bridge off the Roadworn that is the same style (60s with threaded saddles) and matches the aging of the VVT control plate. I also have a Fender soft gig bag that will be included in the sale. Peace.
14. Hey folks, I'm selling my Limelight custom jazz (00157) as I need to pay for house repairs unfortunately. It is being put up tentatively so don't be surprised if I pull it at any moment!! I bought it off here late last year from the original owner (see this thread http://basschat.co.u..._1#entry2872875). I've since changed the control plate to a VVT off a Fender Roadworn that I used to own. I've also changed the bridge to an Omega version in chrome (an ALLPARTS copy of the Leo Quan Badass II). I've got some Status Halfwound strings on it (40-100) and after buying some Hosco nut files I lowered the nut slots and filed the bridge saddle grooves. The neck is dead straight with a low action, there is minimal buzzing when played unplugged, however the action could always be adjusted a little to avoid this if necessary. I've adjusted the balance of the pickups this evening so that they're more even. The neck is fairly thick front to back, but the normal jazz width of 1.5". I personally prefer this shape compared to slimmer ones front to back. The 60s style bridge and tug bar off the Roadworn jazz, and a Fender soft gig bag will be included in the sale. I'm now after [s]£700[/s] £625 (£550 limited time only folks for just bass) collected from Huddersfield, West Yorkshire. The original purchaser said he paid around £1200 for this last year when he custom ordered it, so I believe the asking price is very fair. I would also now consider a trade + cash my way for a Mark Bass TRV 121H (preferably Italian made). I already have one and wouldn't mind a second to match it when needed. If you want to come and have a play feel free.
