I had a similar story. A friend owns a guitar shop that was a main Marshall dealer. As part of their promotions, they held a clinic where they would demo the revolutionary new head. I was ‘invited’ to go and I heard the most glorious tone I had ever heard. Full deep and yet clear and crisp. From that moment I knew that no other amp would do. I was fortunate to get a little play on the rig that evening. Wow! I saw the price tag, and pretty much gave up hope of ever owning one. fast forward a good few years, and I got myself into a new band where my fender 300w bass combo wasn’t rock n roll enough, and I saw someone selling a 7200 model on eBay for £120 excitedly I bought it and have been fortunate enough to use Marshall dbs rigs ever since. this is my 5th Marshall cab and 2nd 7400. I still have the 7200 too 🤘🤘

So. this kind of happened. I’m now the proud owner of another 7400 head and now a 7412 4x12 cab. what a sweet combination. I now have far too many Marshall cabs - 3 410, 1 115, and now a 412, as well as 2 7400 heads ( ones waiting for a repair) and a 7200 head. Marshall central I suppose 🤘🤘🤘 Cant wait to get this rig out into the wild.

I’ve been forced to move the teaching part of my business online I’m using zoom, which seems to have the least latency. it’s a free app both to use for one to one lessons and register/ download all in all it seems to be a reasonable solution

Hi. im looking to put together a small b rig for use when flying in to festivals etc. the old dod fx10 is a big part of my rig, and I’m looking for a small “mooer- sized” alternative. in my searching I found the xvive amp litone, but I couldn’t really get a feeling for its usefulness with bass. Has anyone used this? also interested in the Valentin fp10. cheers

I have an old x2 basic system and a rack version. Both get used extensively ( or did until I was placed into isolation) and never had a problem, from pub and club stages to large festival stages. I also have a line 6 g30 as a spare.

As a teenager that was into the no particular kind of music except the classical I was being taught, images like this blew my mind. I regularly watched live after death, wearing more than one vhs copy out as well as the cassette, and poring over the booklet inside the vinyl. This guy, along with Gene and Cliff. When I finally met him a few years back, I physically shook for days and I almost cried, and was a complete fanboy 😳. at the time, and still now, he holds almost a mythic status- playing wise- in my eyes. Im fortunate enough to be playing, writing and recording with one of his ex drummists, so I do have a little more insight into his business dealings, but I will always hold him in high regard musically, and be grateful for this picture’s impact on a spotty teenager 😉🤘

Thoroughly enjoying these nuggets from a master. I say master, because he has made his mark in his chosen field, and continues to inspire. that’s all we can ask From a musician.
