I've go a Helix Floor and a Rumble. Rumble doesn't get used much really. I use the Helix direct to PA and monitor through a Barefaced FR800. If you're planning to use it as a substitute for a pedal board then it's a bit overkill I think,. If you want it as your one stop shop (within reason) then it's worth considering.

Another vote for the Roland Bass Cube 30. Mine was brilliant, I wish I'd never got rid.

I'm seriously considering this as an 'alternative' to my Helix Floor. I currently run XLR out from Helix to Desk and 1/4" out from Helix to FRFR for monitoring. With the flexibility in the Helix Floor I can adjust my monitoring sound and volume independently from the FOH. The Stomp appeals as I can replicate my amp/cab/effects setup in it but I'm not sure I'll still have the routing flexibility without additional hardware. The Stomp has the same snapshot functions as the Floor which reduced the reliance on just the three buttons.

We record them ourselves as it's only certain elements we need. As far as a click goes, when we need one we put the click on the right channel and send to drummer, the left channel has the backing and goes to PA.

I load ours on to a Digitech JamMan and trigger them from the foot switches. Can connect it to the PA In mono or stereo. Simple but it works.

A Fender for me at last, a Dimension Standard V HH
Muppet replied to Pinball's topic in Bass Guitars
True. These were selling at £1,500-£1,800 and for a non established model I think this was too much for the market. Once you see what you're getting for the money (when compared to a Jazz Deluxe V for example) then the pricing sort of makes sense but people never think of Fender as anything other than Jazz and Precision basses. You can pick up a very good condition active Dimension V for around £900 which is a lot of bass for the money. I'm looking for a black or white one now. Fender has stopped making Dimension specific parts now too (neck, pickguard etc) -
A Fender for me at last, a Dimension Standard V HH
Muppet replied to Pinball's topic in Bass Guitars
I absolutely love these. I have a deluxe V HH in natural and a cayenne red elite V HH, so both with the 18v active circuit. I also have a five string HH Sterling and that hardly gets played. I'm constantly scanning the small ads and eBay to see if any others pop up. The compound radius fingerboard and asymmetrical neck are brilliant and the pickups are lovely, although the switching configuration is different to the Sterling and I forget sometimes which is which. The body has a nice size and weight to it. The looks are subjective though, especially the pickguard. They're discontinued unfortunately as they never really caught on. I had a chat with a guy at Fender and he said it was a real shame as Fender has put a fair amount of effort in to it but it was really difficult to try to get people to buy anything with a Fender logo on it that wasn't a Jazz or Precision. -

Can't seem to link to it but it's in the Barefaced Owners Group from 7th September by a chap called Ash Beetson - it looks like he's over your way too...!

Dan did you see the guy on Facebook looking to shift a pair of FR800s?
-
Yes I’ve had this issue too. My Markbass CMD combo has a separate line out control which is very useful indeed

Stingray HH can't find an "universal" eq setting
Muppet replied to greyshark's topic in Bass Guitars
I have a Sterling HH and use both pickups most of the time. I set the amp EQ to make the most of this setting. When I switch to the bridge pickup, I use the active EQ on the the bass to compensate, which normally means dialling in a bit more bass and cutting mids. -
Lovely, thanks Lee

No not yet I'm afraid - it's quite a simple question about my amp!

Do you have any contacts on the local music scene? I frequently get requests but always from people I already know who are looking or who have friends who are.
-
Don't hold your breath. I contacted them on 8th July and I'm still waiting for a reply........

Using this link you can choose the individual audio and video parts for each instrument solo as well as seeing how thy fit in the overall composition. https://play.roswellfilms.com/

I'm still working off two sets of KAM Powerbars, so 4 cans each side with each can having 7 tri-colour LEDs. Both units connected together and then to a DMX controller. I don't think you can get them any more but Stairville do something very similar https://www.thomann.de/gb/stairville_stage_tri_led_bundle_complete.htm.

@MuzzSlightly off tangent maybe but if you're creating your B3 tones using in-ears, how do you ensure your current FOH sound is spot on?
-
@dood I'm doing this sort of by adding the compressor to a parallel path rather than in line. Would that not give a similar result?
-
Don't get me wrong chaps, I was just saying that from the Helix forums the most popular addition after some better synths and filters seems to be a compressor. I'm more than happy with the three band. @HazBeen what filter are you using? I'm looking for some 70s filter/synth for disco and funk and I just can't get it out of the Helix. Ironically the B3n can do it...... .😛

For bass the filter and synths in the Helix really don't do much. This is possibly the biggest future requirement of the Helix bass community (alongside a bass specific compressor). I add my Future Impact in to the loop as well.
