  1. I have one. No it doesn't.
  2. Can you tell us what you are doing and what issues you are experiencing? Given the current situation I'm assuming you're not able to test this out in a band situation so how are you setting up your equipment?
  3. Have you got your DI out on the amp set to 'Post' and the volume on the amp set low?
  4. Do you attach these to drywalls? I'd love to use them but that's always been my worry
  5. Mine was also a sticky one. I cleaned it with meths. No problems since!
  6. Not really. I don't think my strings ever hit the pole pieces. Have you got a really aggressive playing style or are your pickups set really high?
  7. People have used clear nail polish for years on pole pieces to stop them going rusty and I don't think anyone has experienced any adverse effects? I'd assume coloured nail polish would be the same....
  8. Make a note of that for when we can all travel again!
  9. Slippery slope! I'd love to put a CTM on top of the 610 and listen to that. I bet it's brilliant.
  10. Alex at Barefaced really rates the ABM600 as an amp and thinks it pairs very well with his 10" cabs.
  11. That money can get you a really good combo. The list is as long as your arm and it will come down to your specific criteria and preferences. There is a Markbass CMD121P in the Marketplace here for £450 and it's a superb combo as an example. The Fender Rumble series is highly recommended on here too.
  12. The ABM cabs do have a lovely sound, but the BF size and weight is difficult to beat.
  13. I would trade up. I am not biased. steve
  14. There's a 'Recommended Luthiers' pinned thread in this forum. Check out that list and make a few calls/emails? I would imagine most are still able to work, but you have to be able to get and retrieve your bass safely and compliantly.
  15. Possible I guess - depends on how many coats have been applied over the decal. I use tru oil on non varnished necks - it doesn't seem to add any colour as far as I can make out. You'll still need to prepare the neck for any oil or wax to take.
  16. To use any sort of oil you'd probably need to strip off the current finish. Easy enough to do on the back of the neck, not so easy on the headstock without damaging the decal. You can get amber tint lacquer but I don't know how well that would take if you applied it over the current finish. Maybe an amber tint lacquer on the headstock and sand and wax/oil the neck?
  17. How are you monitoring your sound and what PC software are you using? I also use a 2i2 and have no problems at all. It's important to have the right audio drivers installed and the correct soundcard selected in the recording software.
  18. This is great! Love the bass tone there, especially.
  19. I got round to my A/B test! At low volumes the T40s don't do too badly at all and had me thinking where else in the house I could use them! With bass and treble at zero (top centred) and volume halfway they were pretty good. Bass was a bit boxy and there was a pronounced mid range. Switching to the NS3s made this far more obvious. These have much better bass response and brighter top end but a more scooped mid range, which results in a better separation of frequencies to my ears and I'm not a fan of the mid scoop in any form. Turning up the volume control resulted in the T40 bass response giving up with volume at 2 o clock. From that point on it was boxiness all over and the top end started to get muddy. The NS3s with their bigger driver and volume handled the increase easily and the bass response was pretty good. It didn't feel like it was at it's limit. The top end did get very bright though and I turned the treble dial back a bit. The stereo feel was much better with these speakers. It's all about the bass. And treble. As PC speakers, the Creatives are still really good, even with mine being 8 years old now. As desktop speakers the NS3s are better but not by as much as maybe I'd hoped! I'm using the 3.5mm headphone out and in for both from a laptop, soundcard volume at max, streaming from Spotify. steve
  20. Yep no problem I’ll get on it later today!
  21. We're spoilt for choice in this area I think. Depending on how much you want to spend there's always the Darkglass Microtubes B7K Ultra, Gallien Krueger's GK Plex, Ashdown's ORGIN Al, Ampeg's Scramber DI andI'm sure there's more that you can throw in to the mix.
  22. I don't think the Nano is designed to have any other strap other than the ones it comes with. You have an additional strap that's the same as the one for my Pedaltrain Junior. How are you wanting to carry it that you can't do with the straps you have?
  23. That is excellent, Enjoyed that. Your singer has got that Kate Bush sound down to a tee (and the looks too)
  24. I wanted the Ruark MR1s really but then decided purely on cost they were a bit OTT. I set myself a £200 limit. I have a number of Bluesound Pulse Flexs around the house too so I didn't need to spend masses. I didn't want 'PC speakers' but I did want some that can connect to my PC, something that was reasonably small and had good bass response but also looked stylish. And it's got a brilliant all aluminium remote control. Top end is a tad harsh if I'm critical. It's got RCA connectors too and you can attach an active sub if you really need to. steve
