  1. I just did a three hour gig this evening. My Darkglass M900 has got cab sims and for the first time ever I switched it in and sent it to the desk. The difference was amazing, especially in my IEMs. I’m converted.
  2. I just tested mine. Buzzes when charging using the supplied PSU until I touch the strings then it goes. I've noticed this a lot when using headphones in gear that uses a 9vdc power supply (although this is 10v), not just the Tone Pocket. I took another instrument lead from the line out on the Tone Pocket and plugged it in to an amp, buzzing gone. I don't think it's only the Tone Pocket that does this.
  3. Lovely preamp with tuner, compressor, five different types of overdrive, five different GK amp voicings, DI, USB, aux in, headphone in, effects loop. New these are over £300. Original box, manual, power supply included. It’s as new and never gigged. I love the feature set but I’m just not a GK sound type of person. postage is freeee! thanks Steve
  4. If you check my post two back the bit in bold tells you the official date - 11th July.
  5. The published guidance "We have developed a five-stage roadmap to bring our performing arts back safely. These five stages of the phased return to performing arts are as follows: Stage One - Rehearsal and training (no audiences) Stage Two - Performances for broadcast and recording purposes Stage Three - Performances outdoors with an audience and pilots for indoor performances with a limited socially-distanced audience Stage Four - Performances allowed indoors and outdoors (but with a limited socially-distanced audience indoors) Stage Five - Performances allowed indoors / outdoors (with a fuller audience indoors) On the date of publication we are at Stages One and Two of this roadmap. This means that we are now supporting musicians, dancers and actors, and the technical and operational teams that support performing arts production, to safely resume training, rehearsals and recorded performances where organisations wish and are able to. Dance studios can also reopen for professional dancers and choreographers, and should follow guidance on indoor sports facilities. From the 11th July, we will move to Stage Three. This means that performances outdoors with a socially distanced audience can take place in line with this guidance. "
  6. So, outdoors gigs are now back on then, for those that want to play them. With appropriate social distancing measures of course......
  7. No change yet, but new rules planned to come in to effect at the end of the year. What these new rules are is anyone's guess.....
  8. https://www.darkglass.com/creations/element/ Interesting. No EQ and doesn't appear to accommodate a direct instrument input - manual suggests via pedalboard or amp - but the design, as per usual, is lovely and it's got bluetooth, at last. And it's expensive.
  9. For us, most definitely. For the OP, who is based in Argentina, I would have no idea.
  10. It feels to me that this is more a really naive and clumsy way of trying to shift some bass gear rather than a focused scam - looking on facebook thy are talking about Barefaced cabs, Markbass amps etc. There is some degree of bass knowledge and given the reach of Basschat it wouldn't surprise me. Obviously all that in itself could be scam/stolen photos, info etc.
  11. Wouldn't be surprised if the 'organiser' is a member here...
  12. There's no calibration he's going to disrupt by taking it apart. If he wants to sell a vintage instrument this is what he should do! Good luck.
  13. Th pictures are limited. Photos of the pickups, pots, neck and neck pocket would help, but it looks on the face of it to be genuine. The pickguard is not original, the knobs are not original. The serial number is where I would expect it and checks as a 1971. I can't tell if the frets have been added More detailed photos as I mentioned would help but it seems real enough Ask your seller if he can take the bass apart. I'd say based on UK values it's a reasonable price, maybe a little overpriced.
  14. True, but as @Hellzero says, if you’re not sure, being extra cautious will do no harm at all. It’s an extra 30 seconds in the grand scheme of things. I’ll admit I rarely do!
  15. yep. So stick your allen key or whatever in the adjustment hole and from your photo position, lever right, towards your G string. As Tony says, I'd loosen the strings off a bit.
  16. Regardless of whether it's left handed, turning the wheel clockwise will straighten the neck, turning it anti-clockwise will add relief. This is when viewed from the opposite of your photo. You should be sighting from the wheel towards the headstock. Before making any adjustments have you measured the action to know if there is too much or too little relief?
  17. There's a GK200 on facebook marketplace for £150 - not mine! https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/item/2674192146162483/
  18. I think we all know what this is so I probably don’t need to post the specs. Cheapest I can find online is £149.99. Full MOT and Insurance, both keys, motorway mileage only, no tyre kickers, first to see will buy etc.... This is unused other than to try it out once (well twice now as I just tested it to check it works and updated to v2.20 firmware). Box, manuals, adaptor, ugly black bag, all included. Happy with a socially distanced exchange or post for an extra £7 nothing. No trades as I’ve a GAS fund that’s looking very empty. Thank you Steve
  19. I would certainly not class them as 'budget' as that has low quality connotations but if we are considering affordable and value for money then the Chowny range is excellent.
  20. I had one of these and also the 75 reissue and I think these are much better guitars. This looks lovely and I like the oddities! 21. I'd have done the same. Does it look like that was original wiring?
  22. I would have expected the other way round but a ground is a ground isn't it? I don't know if there is a reason for doing it this way.
  23. Echoes my thoughts. I was hoping for a clever dig at the Bros documentary but it was just a bit silly - too Chuckle Brothers for me.
  24. How much.......????? I might buy a second one at that price...
