  1. The official address format in the UK is very standard - it's residents who overly complicate the address by including additional (mostly superfluous) components, as you've clearly already found out!!
  2. Fender did it with the dimension bass - it was 9.5" to 14". Lovely neck to play.
  3. Does toggling this option help?
  4. I use Transferwise all the time, it’s really good. The more recent reviews of Eurosender have been variable to be honest and the discount is next to nothing.
  5. And a couple more pics from a different AVRI 62. This one is also sunburst and the same code as yours. I reckon you can be pretty confident you have a AVRI 62. It's just that neck plate issue that's a bit of a spoiler.......
  6. I really like it - comes in white blonde too. Stack knobs on that control plate is great. Reminds me of the blackguard blonde 60th anniversary precision.
  7. Well clearly that's not right! The rest looks like a proper American Reissue to me though....
  8. Yeah they had stamped neckplates on the AVRI series. In fact the current American Original series has them too. They all begin with V..
  9. Yeah looks very much like a Korg DTR 2000 rack tuner, rather than an amp....
  10. At each end of the brass plate are two triangular bits of aluminium called glazier points I think. They are driven horizontally in to the wood over the plate to hold the plate in place and stop it rattling around. The solder is applied over the top of the little wedges to hold them in place. You can see them in your photo once you know what you’re looking for!
  11. The wooden block shown in your picture is 100mm tall by 40mm wide by 20mm deep. I've spaced mine 400mm apart.
  12. Funny how things turn out. I was drilling holes to put up my Hercules wall hangers and the plastic handle of the Hercules three guitar stand disintegrated there and then, dropping two basses and a guitar to the floor. Email to them tomorrow I think. Back to the hangers. I tried one Geefix. Don’t like them one bit. A lot more fiddly to install and there is some flex in the bracket. I used these ones in the end - much happier with these. I think I will eventually go with the timber batten option and the Hercules brackets with the flat metal base.
  13. . This thread is a review I think. Basses for sale are in the Marketplace
  14. Just ordered some of these, they look great. I’m pretty sure I know where I’m going to drill the holes so I’m not worried about having to fill in mis drilled 25mm holes
  15. What exact fixings are you using, do you have a link at all? thanks!
  16. yep - 2!
  17. Sorry I missed this! I don't have any separate high end amplifier I'm afraid - I'll look around the house to see if there's anything I have that might produce a better quality output, but I''ve mainly just got bass amps! steve
  18. I have the V2 and was answering on that basis. I thought that's what the OP was referring to as a 'later version'. I can't comment on later versions of the V1 I'm afraid
  19. BF cabs? I'll go check the other thread now!!
  20. I have one. No it doesn't.
  21. Can you tell us what you are doing and what issues you are experiencing? Given the current situation I'm assuming you're not able to test this out in a band situation so how are you setting up your equipment?
  22. Have you got your DI out on the amp set to 'Post' and the volume on the amp set low?
  23. Do you attach these to drywalls? I'd love to use them but that's always been my worry
  24. Mine was also a sticky one. I cleaned it with meths. No problems since!
  25. Not really. I don't think my strings ever hit the pole pieces. Have you got a really aggressive playing style or are your pickups set really high?
