Mr Bart, these are so awesome!! Its mental he used the big old tele bass, I cant imagine even pretending to play black eyed blonde on that thing😀 I always loved grand happy as an instrumental, ahead of their time.

The answer is always an Ibanez, cheap and very cheerful. SR300EB or it's 5 or 6 string cousins new/used on ebay or talkbass could be a good shout. The Sire stuff is great too.

Guys, Anyone have experience with the higher end SR pickups (Aguilar/Nordstrand?) Trying to decide which to buy to pump up my Sr600. Looking for tonal characteristics of both and differences between the big/super singles Seem to be able to buy Nordy pups directly from website.....

Any Ibanez 5er will be the thinnest neck you can get most likely.

My first 6er, sr306eb. Best 6 string under 500 quid I think although I may sell as I'm struggling to get play time. Always favour my 4 strings😁

Beaut Mikey. Would love a fretless ibanez. Most playable basses out there are the Ibbys in my humble opinion
