Hi guys, quick update after playing around. Bass is finished well, nice and light. Comparable neck to my SR600. Quality is right up there, was set up perfectly. I haven't plugged in yet, just been doing the slappa da bass flea lines :). These are great quality and don't feel like beginner instruments. I haven't played a full blown EBMM so cant compare but this is a lot of bass for the money. Great way to get started with EBMM.

Got a SUB last night😁 Couldn't justify paying 200 quid more for 24 CA when it's my first MM. Love the black/maple flea vibes. I'll let you guys know how I get on.

Dr t stingray, would it be right to say the 24 CA has a wider neck profile like a classic ray and the sub is thinner?

Thanks for the comprehensive answer!! Just what the Dr ordered. Yeah I'm worried if I buy entry level style instrument I'll just want to upgrade in few years although this is my first foray into Ray's.

Hi guys , thinking of buying a stingray. Have zero experience with them just want to add that sparkly tone to my arsenal. Looking at black/maple new style SUB bass (£349) https://m.thomann.de/ie/sterling_by_music_man_s_u_b._sting_ray_4_bk.htm OR the Sterling by music man Classic 24 at £568. https://m.thomann.de/ie/sterling_by_music_man_sting_ray_classic_24_tlb.htm?o=13&search=1594758214 Has anyone any thoughts/experience with these? Is sterling worth 200 quid more? I understand it has 3 band eq, better pickup and finished better (according to reviews). However if SUB gives me MM sound and is good quality, I would be interested😁 any opinions greatly appreciated.

Cool look forward to it dood. I guess what I'm asking is it's tuned EADG is there an advantage for fanned frets? Looks like an awesome bass, seriously considering gettin one -

I was lookin at the ng2 as well but I like my 4 stringers. Isn't the point of the fanned frets etc more clarity in the low B? Some of the ibanez sr prestige look great too and if the necks are anything like my sr600 they'll be great (still wanna try an ng2 tho -
The sansamp bass driver clone (BDI21?) has never let me down and cost less than £30. It's not in a metal box but unless you enjoy throwing your pedals at the floor, shouldn't be a problem.
