1. These look pretty cool too. Just wondering if I can afford a set or two? http://dknob.com/index.html
2. Wasn't Alan Jackson a bass player? If not him I'm sure one of the brothers was...
3. Just acquired some pre-loved TI JF345s from David. Everything as it should be, plenty of PMs, happy camper here. Deal with confidence.
4. Does anybody have any experience with this Overwater Aspiration - it even has J/J p/ups. If they are anything like the rest of the range they will be excellent value at £230. 5. Couldn't find the bass I was checking out on the Japanese site either. A combination of all sems the best bet!
6. Just acquired a nice Yamaha BBN5 from Chris. Top bloke to deal with, very helpful and quick to respond to my daft questions. Highly recommended to y'all.
7. Good grief, that's two of EJ's bassist gone. Dee Murray passed away some time back in his mid 40's. Tragic.
8. Apologies if I'm slow on this but I couldn't find this particular page referenced on BC. If you click on Bass and then type in the model number it gives you interesting (to some maybe) info about production dates, original RRP etc. A bit different to the serial number look up sites and useful when you get given 3 or 4 possible years of maunfacture. 9. Sold Dave my ACG preamp. Swift payment, easy to deal with, highly recommended to all BCers.
10. Funnily enough I was just wondering the same thing although for £20 I might have a punt anyway.
11.
I'm skint so; Cheap earbud with very short cable in left hear plugged into laptop, cheap ear but with very short cable in right ear plugge into practice amp. I can feel my brain seperating during practice
I'm hurting just thinking about that

13. Are these the active p/ups - sorry if it's a stupid question, not that familiar with EMG gear and some websites are banned at work. I think it's just dawned on me that this is a P/J set when I'm after a J/J setup
14. ..and I'm hovering like a fly waiting for the windshield on the freeway. Genesis - The Lamb Lies Down on Broadway (I forget exactly which song)
15. OK, not sure if I'll have the space for one of those. Is there a suitable pot with two stacked volume controls and do they just get wired up like two independent volumes?
16. My personal favourite of this genre: Far away across the field the tolling of the iron bell Calls the faithful to their knees to hear the softly spoken magic spells. Pink Floyd - Breathe (reprise)
17. These strings were bought as singles to achieve a good balanced tension set. Cost about £28. I have decided that I prefer flats after all so am going back to those. The gauges are: 40 55 75 100 135 They have been on my bass for about 3 weeks and have been 'noodled' on only. They were on a 34" scale bass with a 3 over 2 tuning peg arrangement. I tend not to trim too short and like to have 3 or 4 turns around the tuners so they should be fine for most basses. If you'd like me to measure the length of the strings please just ask. [s]£18[/s] Now only £15 posted mainland UK.
