+1 to all that. My first MBB and definitely not my last. Mrs ead really enjoyed the band too and vows to return next year.
Big thanks to Alan, Dave, the band, the sound man, the catering etc. Good to meet you all.

Nigel what have you got against Violas exactly??
[/quote]
Can we do viola jokes too, former orchestral player (violin) so have a stock - as well as violin jokes for balance obviously.

The Bass Doc on here. Not sure how he's fixed work-wise, though.

He's just made a custom one for me, top quality.
Yes low B is awesome and at .136 you can use them for suspension bridges and towing cars too.
I'm having thoughts about filing my nut and going BEAD on the Letts bass as it has a 35" scale.

Great choice!
Here's lesson 1, from an organist and pedant twat: It's called "pedals". No hand pedals exist.

Good point, well made sir!
Whatever happens make sure you leave suitably honest feedback. I have a similar thing that the mods were able to resolve - using The Force I imagine - and left unemotional feedback for the seller after a few days when I had calmed down. Make sure it's truthful with some idea of the the various milestones in the time line.
There's a few posts in the wanted section looking for value 5ers. Both my modest attempts at playing 5-string basses were on BBN5s and they are great instruments.
Nothing form the various e-mails addresses I've found and tried rather sadly as they seem well regarded on BC; one of the reasons I went there in the first place.
Escalated it with Paypal now.
Here's mine Antoria Jazz c.1975 off the bay for £100. Decided to take the poor black finish off and found out it was a mahogany butchers block. Still looks nice and with a Kiogon old stylee twin stack knob plate makes some really nice noises (obviously when somebody else is playing it)

OK, two emails, one through their website one from my own email account to the customer service address listed with paypal. No response to either.
I'll give it to the weekend then I'll get in touch with Paypal for a refund. If you are ordering please be careful. Mine was a standard item so presumably straightforward.
Having seen the man over the years in a number of guises I must declare an interest as a big fan of Mr Bowie.
I can understand that given the amount of shape shifting and innovation he has given us since ZIggy exploded some may feel disappointed by the recent single. I find it to be very atmospheric with a few nods and references to some of his early work. By all accounts the album has some interesting stuff on it so looking forward to acquiring that in due course.
Good to have him back.
The other possibility there is so much stuff around is that some people don't reply to PMs. In the last month I've waited in vain for a response on 3 items to no avail. Bit frustrating really, and one might imagine that in this market sellers would be all over any enquiries.
I confess to being slightly worried now as I placed and order and paid via Paypal over 10 days ago and have heard nothing at all. Has anybody else had any issues in getting supplied recently.
