1. I hope you're plannign on acquiring enough cabs to hook that lot up to!
2. Hi all, I'm looking at putting a rig together sometime next year, comprising of a barefaced S12 or 15 with something like either an OTB, Streamliner or GK Fusion. Sold all my gear recently to free up some cash (OTB and compact). Whilst its pretty vein, I'm not sure on the grille cover so wondered if anyone fancied showing off their vintage/vintage styled rig with a micro on top? Does this look weird?! Is a big cab and micro weird?! Interested in anything form a Terror bass down! Plus Its always noce to see some rigs!!
3. So did I - I think its in transition at the moment
4. Used to play mine with a barefaced compact, or two of them. Brilliant combination to my ear. Also heard it with the S12 which sounds pretty immense.
5. Yeah, im havin similar probs been looking in a relaxed fashion for something for the last 9 months. Im into metal, but now too old and im not 163% committed to the band and nothing else in my life. Gonna take the 'im starting a band' in the new year but also start going with the old fashioned hand scribbled contact poster in music shops, pub and venue. I have confidence this will be more successful than tinterweb!
6. MAke sure you get a photo! Always go with as much gear as you can fit in is my philosophy!! enjoy!!
7. If you ever make it as far as bedford, let me know I'll swing by - sounds like an interesting project! Good luck with it again!
8. I dont think you'll have to move if you're performace is up to scratch - which it sounds like it will be! I saw Dying Fetus a little while back - 3 piece - death(?)/shock(?) metal - no movement on stage, but amazing delivery of their material. One of the best perormances I've seen and now really into them. Main thing is well polished material and enjoy it in my opinion, the crowd will catch tyhe drift! Wheres the gig out of interest?
9. Moved a pedal on to Ash today - top top man, wouldnt hesitate to recommend!!
10. Does this take an extension cab?
11. Back to the top - now with a very Low Res picture - Rug not included though I'm afraid.
12. Wow, i bet that rig absolutely sings!
13. Check out the Tech 21 XXL as well - very aggressive pedal that gives you what I'd call distortion rather than a fuzz or overdrive. Very in your face and solid. I a/b's this with the aguilar and preferred it, but the aguilar is also in the same ball park I think - I think I did a brief comparison on effects forum if you have a quick search - my thoughts only of course! Also a +1 for the Rat - I ran a turbo rat for a while that worked well. I'm intruiged by the B3K, but dont know that much about it. Loads of choice, just try out loads and have fun. Only difficult thing I find with distortions and fuzz is you dont get a proper feel until your at band volume in a band context as to whether its actually to your taste or not.
14. [s]Morning all, Im moving this on as i no longer use delay and am having a break at the mo from playing. This is in great condition, owned ftom new, boxed with psu and instructions. Check my feedback as i look after my gear. Feedback here: http://basschat.co.u..._1#entry1828951 Great pedal offering many types of delay and echo, including reverse delay. Has tap tempo and a looper! Wow!! I have velcro at the mo on the back, but can put the feet back on if preferred. Im looking for £110 posted. Can meet london st panc/liverpool st, or bedford areas. Thanks for looking.[/s]
15. Ah! Right amp, wrong time!! sorry man, good luck with the sale.
16. I used to use this config - my first 'proper' rig. I was under the impression it would give good balance to the sound - obviously not quite right!! However, the rig worked well and it did also look cool. I only ever struggled for volume on one occassion in a marquee with 450w going through it. Good for all the pubs I did though and I still think it looked pretty cool!!
17. I bet that set up kills! Really tempted by WA and pairing it with a super15. If youre happy with the sound id go modular, 2 compacts or compact and a midget to add a bit more mid. What style of music do you play with this?
18. I guess not.......
19. Just sold my Terror Bass to Johnny. Really cool guy, easy to deal with, cash on collection and now he has the most rightous rig in .... Bucks! Deal with confidence
20. Just sold my compact to dylan. Great guy to deal with, communicative and a good fella. ....Also seems popular/well known amongst londoners managing to bump into people he knows! Never happens to me! Deal with confidence. Recommended.
21. Dropped you a PM mate.
22. They're bloody good amps. If I had more money available I'd keep it, but needs must. I'd say you're more than welocme to come round and try it, but I dont have a cab anymore.....if you want to bring a cab, you can.
23. And back tö the top.
24. PM replied to - Barefaced on hold.
25. Thanks Si, yeah this really can kill. Mixed emotions with the sale of this - sorry to see it go. Best of luck with the midget hunt.....
