    Managing to get reasonably similar outputs across both boards now for songs, but also different flavours which is cool.

    This is silly money for SUCH a great head. Shame these heads with proper iron don't get the right price in the market imo. Best of luck with the sale. Someone's gonna grab a steal.

    I've owned and like them both. You're only way to find this out will be to try both imo....there's a few different algos between the two, but both really solid choices. ✌️

    I keep looking at the h9 but sticking with the bassrig for now with h9. I like the h9 app in rehearsals to adjust on the fly, and the tuner seems pretty good so far.

    Couple of immediate thoughts would be something darkglass flavoured would probably get you in the territory, or an ampeggy drive type pedal for some hair/ drive (beta V in the classifieds or something similar.....that's what I kinda associate with those bands at least... Might be off base. Pedal on my board that kinda gets that territory is the damnation audio MBD - wicked pedals and nice clean blends function. ✌️

    Yeah it's a weird one....I have similar flashes from time to time. That said, for the footprint and amount of effects, including massive reverbs, there's not much else that compares imo. I was looking at changing it with a meris LVX but decided form factor was more important at this point. Just trying to sort out a limited number of effects in preset bank now to limit to 5 or so that I use.

    'finished' my new home/mini board. Covers loads of ground and intention is to drive either my own power amp or use when I need to travel light. It's a rock board 2.1 and powered by gigrig. I may change the muff for an mbd 3 still in time, depending on how my feet fit the gaps on the board. See how it goes anyway....

    Played effectively a home town show last night at club 85, hitchin. Really cool line up and first gig since November for me and Gévaudan. Outed a new song, new drummers second gig and it all went off really well. One of those gigs where it just all clicked in and sound was great...although maybe a touch bass heavier would have been cool. Managed to pull some stupid faces as well which was cool. So good night all round. ✌️🧙‍♂️

    Been using this quite a lot at rehearsals now and got it dialed in pretty well with my preamp. I've finally got round to getting a case as well - made by Lykis, purchased via Amazon and it's a nice snug fit by customising the foam inserts. I'll likely gig it soon, but I do still love my valve amp, but stoked with this set up.

    Needs must at the moment sadly. So selling as follows. 1. H9 max - harmonizer effects processor Awesome multi effect engine with incredible sounds across the board.....pitch shifting, reverb, delays, choruses...bags and bags to dive into. The app is also really intuitive. Velcro on underside, good condition. Comes boxed. Looking forward £350 posted. 2. Cog effects custom - Hellraiser Incredible custom build multi effect pedal that includes the knightfall, targin and octave. When each is engaged they are stacked in parallel. Controls look busy, but really easy- right to left- first 2x2 bank are clean blends by effect and overall blend. Second 2x2 are the tarkin controls. Left hand side top row of three is the octave and bottom row of three is the knightfall. Looking forward what I paid - £450 posted. Shout with any queries. Can handover in Stevenage/Bedford areas.     Added the Cog effects Hellraiser to my main board. It's a wicked drive, but I also love the megalith and MBD3 it's replaced....I think they'll end up on the small board....but I also have a pork and pickle inbound as well....

    Played Daltons in Brighton on Saturday at an all day doom fest. Weather was suitably rainy, windy and the sea well rough, but great crowd and vibe. First time out with our new drummer which was cool and got some great compliments on delivery as a band afterwards which was cool. I was a Muppet though and left the back up preamp on on my board, which meant I couldn't quite dial in the tone I wanted....until I finished the set. Anyway, good fun all the same. That's it for the year for me.

    I've only played one once in a. Festival stage and it was pretty good through an 810. Spades of power and presence. Everyone's posts above are bang on.....throw in the cost of a revalve and it's not cheap... That said I still play through a matamp gt200. Not the most practical, heavy, way too loud at times, but I love playing it. I had a Laney nexus (400w all valve) for a while. Awesome amp, but played too many gigs where it didn't really get going in the power section. I bet the soundcity is pretty banging as amps go. If you're looking lighter I think the handbox might be at 100ish watts?..... Ashdown ctm100 is pretty light by valve standards.... Kinda depends on your rehearsal volume, cabs and tuning etc. ✌️

    Updated my mini board already having built it about two weeks ago and haven't taken it anywhere ... Couldn't resist grabbing the cog hellraiser so will now see what this is like at volume over the next few weeks. Bedroom levels it sounds wicked. The cog is a monster of a pedal ✌️

    Purchased another dirt pedal from mike....he seems to have a wicked selection.... Sterling as always in Comms, packaging speed. Deal with confidence, I'd definitely buy from mike again Cheers!

    I probably will once I get comfy with it. I've only used midi with it as part of my switcher so need to relearn the pedal as a standalone unit now.

    New mini board created! Need to reprogramme the h9 and work out of the tuner will be ok for me as a standalone solution.....then I'll probably rotate drives for the next 3 years....as usual
