2.
gives that lovely wah sound, possibly even better than the EBS Wah One which I may be selling too.
Let me know if you decide to sell the EBS Wah One.
 3. Hmmm. I wonder what these go for. I was intrigued - but never got to try one.
 4. They have to sound good, they look so sh!t. ;-)
eBay: Potential Fraud Heads up...this listing is suspicious. The seller is in Nevada, USA, however the bass will ship from 'Outside the United States'. The photos are the same ones on a well-known Chinese wholesale counterfeit site...not to mention the misspelling of words in the auction.
Maybe ask for the serial number?
 6.
As long as the limiting stays above 8kHz that's as high as you'll ever need to go.
I think the issue being described is a roll-off in the high frequencies, due the sub-optimal input impedance (which tends to form a LP filter when the guitar is connected).
 7.
I've plugged my bass into it plenty of times and haven't noticed anything amiss. Otherwise though, no, they're the only two things I can think of off the top of my head.
Hmmm. Maybe I'll give it a go....
 8.
I wonder if it's well suited to instrument level signals though, and is its impedance okay to plug an un-buffered guitar into...
I have googled and discovered that its input impedance is 10kOhm. To be suitable as an instrument input it needs to be 1MOhm. So I guess the answer is "no". The SFX unit remains the only suitable solution... so far.
 9.
That could be just the ticket!!!
I wonder if it's well suited to instrument level signals though, and is its impedance okay to plug an un-buffered guitar into...
 10.
Also take a look at the Rolls SX21. Don't know how easy they are to come by anymore, but mine's really useful
That could be just the ticket!!!
 11.
I think the Lead head was a Sunn coloseum Lead as he didn't like the Bass version. But all these various Live amps, Marshall, Fender, Sunn etc all worked well, but studio work was I think Vox AC30. The important part is that Fuzz on the Neck pup.
SS73 is right. Chris's basses were not biamped (in the sense of using a cross-over to separate bass from treble frequencies), but he did have his mono bass modified to output the two pickups independently (exactly like the ric-o-sound). I have heard that regardless of the stacks on stage, in the early yes tours, Chris's sound was taken from an AC-30, hidden behind and miced up. I also think it's true that he used the fuzz on the neck pickup (not the bridge pickup, as you'd perhaps have been more likely to think). What I don't know is where he actually uses this fuzz - I'd have thought that most of his grind was from pushing the AC30s.
 12.
SOLD TO BILLPHREETS ,PENDING PAYMENT
Did this go through?
 13.
[sfx] X&M ?
Looks promising! Thanks.
 14. Hi folks, I am thinking of splitting my bass signal. so that middle and treble are handled by a guitar amp, with the bass frequencies routed to me bass amp. I need (therefore) a crossover! - does anyone make a pedal sized crossover pedal? Or maybe a small unit that could be easily mounted in my pedal board? Any ideas? - Nick.
 15. Picking technique, the bass (the use of the Brassmaster occasionally) and playing through a Vox AC30!
 16.
I used the velcro that came with my PT. I dropped the board while getting it out of the case the other day and caught it abruptly by my expression pedal. Nothing came off. Maybe I got a good batch of velcro.
I wish my experience was the same. They never stay put. usually it's the strips pulling away from the frame. And (believe it or not) I did clean the frame with white spirit before attaching the velcro.
 17.
I realise that this thread's about to turn into a broken record but I put a 1-inch square in each corner of a Moogerfooger LowPass then left the pedal for 24 hours for the glue to set. I placed the pedal in the wrong position and spent 10 minutes trying to pull it off; I was concerned about bending the metal chassis because it was holding so strongly. Dan
The problem I find isn't the strength of the velcro hooks, but the velcro glue - which comes away all too easily.
 18.
Yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, and a thousand times yes. Different league. Pedaltrain Velcro: open case, pedals everywhere. Heavy-Duty Velcro: open case, pedals where you left them. It's that simple. I'd happily turn my board upside down and shake it with the Heavy-Duty stuff on.
Have ordered some! Thanks.
 19.
Thanks - will give it a try Cheers
I have the same problem. I use the velcro that came with my Pedaltrain. It's crap. Is this stuff really any better?

 21.
Anyone help with this?
Rather than mod it, why don't you just use a true-bypass looper?
 22.
As far as I know, there was never a mutron III reissue, that's why they go for stupid prices.
Well it looked like a Mutron III. It could have been the "unauthorised reissue", the Mutron III+ mentioned here:- http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mutron http://www.mu-tron.com/ I guess it's a replica.
 23. The one I am playing in my Avatar pic. <------ A 4001cs. A dream to play and sounds amazing.
 24. I have limited experience with envelope filters, but FWIW this is what I found. 1. The Boss AW-2 pretty good actually. Does triggered wah (envelope filtering) and auto wah (cyclic) and can combine the two for somewhat unpredictable results. 2. A Mutron III reissue - tried this about 10 years ago and was blown away. 3. Guyatone Flip Funky Box - horrid. Got rid of it very fast. 4. Maxon AF-9 - a bit disappointing. I have kept it - but it didn't displace the AW-2 I am not suing a filter at the moment - but when I do, it'll probably be the AW-2 I turn to.
