nice, be sure to let us know how it goes! lots of pics are a must I am considering doing the same at some point so would be very interested in this project.
Yeah. You'll have to be patient though.... I have a few things on my plate first.
Weirdly, I just came across that the other day, and was wondering the same thing lol. I like the idea of it, anyway. Apparently it's a bit different to the version that he makes however, but then it's also much cheaper. I think someone here should build/buy one (I would but i'm too poor), they could be the next big thing!
I've just ordered one. $65 (in the UK) buys you the PCB and detailed construction techniques (a bit steep I know). It also buys you into their users' forum. Apparently there are folks who offer parts kits too... all will be revealed once I get access to the users' forum.
That's a beautiful thing. Just noticed that Rock Factory seemingly have a ex-display one up for £699 if anyone is in the mood ...
Update to my Disco/Funk Board....
Never tried any of those Akais. Mine is called maximum prog board. Noticably different in this band to my previous boards which have always featured a boss OC-2 octaver and AW-2 auto-wah. I miss them - but just don't need them at the mo. -
Heh, oh noooo, quick someone reply!! It's a very nice board
Phew - thanks!!! -
Hi folks, I didn't need the extra features and wanted to reclaim some board space (see http://basschat.co.uk/index.php?act=attach...t&id=51641) so I have just downsized my Pitchblack+ to a Pitchblack and consequently have a spare Pitchblack+. It's a fantastic tuner. In case you don't know, features include:- • Professional guitar and bass pedal tuner offers ultra- precise tuning with an accuracy of +/-0.1 cents. • True Bypass output keeps your tone intact at all times. • Two instruments can be connected simultaneously, with separate tuning settings for each. • In addition to chromatic tuning and standard guitar/bass tuning, the pitchblack+ supports open D, open E, open G, open A, and DADGAD. You can also create and save five of your own custom tunings. • Tuning is easily seen by a newly developed “dual meter” using large extra bright LEDs. • Support for seven-string guitars and six-string basses. • A broad tuning detection range from E0 (20.60 Hz) to C8 (4186 Hz). • Calibration is adjustable from 436--445 Hz. • A 9V DC output jack is provided to power other pedals in your pedalboard. • Tough aluminum die cast body for superb durability. http://www.korg.co.uk/products/tuners/pitc...plus/tu_pbp.asp For more info. This sells new for almost £90 (plus P&P). I am asking £65 ovno including postage. Open for trades too. http://www.dv247.com/guitars/korg-pitchbla...ar-tuner--48998 It's boxed and in near mint condition - except for some superficial scratches (see the pic). I'd like to trade (rather than sell). So if you are looking for one of these and have some spares to offload, make me a suggestion. Is that okay? Cheers all, - Nick.
Here it is, nearly ready.... This handles bass, guitar and twin neck and routes to guitar and bass amps. There's one effect loop and a hardwired bypass. It also supports a stereo mode (for the 4001) which routes the pickups to different amps, with either pickup sent via the effects loop.
Oh dear, I seem to have killed the thread. -

Seems to track better than my OC-2. Still I am not really using an octaver in my sound at the moment, so I will resist!

Chris Squire's stereo bass routing
The Twickerman replied to The Twickerman's topic in General Discussion
I'd guess it was the guitar amp. The other way round would be a bit illogical.
That's EXACTLY what I would have thought - but I am pretty sure I read somewhere else that it was the other way round. -
Hi folks, I understand that Chris Squire routed the neck and bridge pickups of his 4001 bass to separate amps. I believe he used a guitar amp for the bridge pickup and that he also only added effects on one of the pickups. Does anyone know which? Ta!
