2.
Chorus pedal build for fellow bassist
Looks great. How do you get the artwork on there?
 3.
Ebay are saying that he's in breach of their T&Cs because of trademark infringement. If he's not, then there is no case for them to remove the listing.
That is not in dispute. The fact remains they can remove whatever they want, whenever they want, from their site. They are not obliged to give a reason. Even if you proved the point in court, that it was not in breach of their rules, they'd still not have to publish your advert on their site.
 4.
He can't challenge ebay, because they are entitled to do whatever they like with their own website. Ebay could challenge RIC, but they won't, because it is a tiny amount of revenue they are missing out on.
This is correct.
 5. That's a handsome looking Wal. Looks evil in black. I've always fancied one of these - but no funds right now. Good luck with the sale.
 6. Purchased a Boss AC-3 from Pliskin. Perfect!
 7.
I'm actually quite pleased that they bothered to get in touch to clarify things, it also shows the extent that the Rickenbacker company goes to protect it's identifiable trademarks. Whether we agree with them or not it shows some determination! It still however seems a little harsh to me that as a private seller I have been penalised by restrictions placed upon my account, especially given the current level of blatant rickenfakery going on these days. The double standards by which ebay continues to operate never ceases to amaze me. Without doubt if my bass had passed Rickenbacker's scrutiny eBay would have happily taken my fees. I do intend to respond.
I am very impressed that John replied in such detail. That shows some degree of integrity. Yes - we know that he's over-stating the juristiction of US patent laws, but you've got to admire the effort he puts into defending his company's IP. Now, if only he put in as much effort into getting the production line running and designing some new instruments....
 8.
Diago do (or did) an adapter for a 9v supply that would internally double it to 18v. So you could keep the same supply, and only use up one output. Something to think about if you could track one down. Diago don't sell direct anymore, but I rang them up and managed to get hold of one that way anyway as a kind of special order. Don't know if other companies make a similar adapter.
Thanks - but Diago is a switch-mode PSU - it does things differently to the transformer-based PedalPower. I don't think it would work.
 9. I have this pedal on my board. Running it at 18v (as recommended) uses up two of my power outputs from the PedalPower 2. I am thinking of running a dedicated 18v PSU from the auxiliary 240v output of the PedalPower 2. Therefore a wallwart supply is no good. Any recommendations of a good 18v that would work well like this?
 10. Should have tried harder with the prog band!
 11.
PMed.
Please respond to my PMs.
 12. http://www.tcelectronic.com/vortex.asp I tried it the other day in a music shop on a Jazz Bass and a Precision (they had no Rickenbackers) - it sounded really great. Has anyone tried it in a band setting? Does the sound cut through? I often find that the effected sound get lost in the context of a band. Cheers!
 13.
the thick gloss black paint job looks second to none.
Yeah. Nice bay windows!
 14. I am curious about the labelling though. How do you do it?
 15. Wow. Decided to go for discrete effects pedals instead? These have always been attractive to me - but I prefer the tonal flexibility offered by separate boxes...
 16. They may cost a lot... but you build them up gradually, and when you want to change it's a small incremental change.
 17.
I wish I was a guitarist in your area and in this league of playing, but I have to say... love your Cardiacs cover!!! Is it just mud that breaks the whole world window?!
Thanks!!!! That's very kind. Another Cardiacs fan, eh?!? We did a version of Whole World Window with sax the other day. Will probably put the video of that one up when the editing's done.
 18.
I would like to add this Rickenbacker as an honorary Rickenfaker. WTF did they have to mess with the headstock.
OMFG, that is hideous!!!!
 19. ^^^ Good job! Well done.
 20.
Only 7 months old, hardly used. In immaculate as new condition apart from small ding on the headstock which I've shown in the photo. Never gigged, only used at home.
Very tempting. Porcupine Tree's bassist has one just like this. It sounds great in his hands.

I mean it's just the nicest thing I've ever seen.
