1.
Anyone know if this is compatible with the iPhone 5/5C/5S? It looks like the old style connector, if that's the case I'll have to purchase to Lightning adaptor for it. Very intrigued by this, already playing with the app on my phone.
It works with my iPhone5 - but only (1) after the latest iOS7 update and (2) with a legitmate lightning connector (didn't work with a generic one).
2. I love mine. I like the Angelic Choir (harmoniser effect) so much (on my Bass VI) that I am going to have to by another pedal so that I can use other effects.
3. I have a 1978 4001 (sounds and plays fantastic), a 4001cs (even better, but a little fragile) and a 4003s8 (a little hard work on the fingers - but worth it). I have never played a bad Ric - but they are out there I believe. I simply cannot stand the playability or the tone of a Precision (John Wetton made them sound good though!) - horrid uncomfortable wide flat necks and a peaky tone that I find just irritating. I adore Jazz basses - although I have never found a good one that I could afford. But my current obession is the Bass VI!!!!
4.
I've never understood all these "letters of the alphabet" neck-profile analogies....
http://www.fender.com/news/fender-neck-profiles/
5. I might sell my Squier - I simply don't find it as playable as the Fender. The shop will take it back (of course), but I'd rather give Basschatters first dibs as it'd be going back into stock at the shop shortly if I don't. PM me if interested.
6.
Really interested in these, yet Squire have just released a version for only £270
I have one of each and can honestly say, if you can afford it, the Fender is worth the extra outlay. The playability is so much better.
7. I have one of the Fender Pawn Shop Bass VIs (very nice) and just taken delivery of a Squier. I have to say, the Squier, as received, was nearly unplayable. Fret buzz and choking all over the higher frets. It's currently back with the shop for remedial action. They adjusted the bridge, but now think they'll have to give it a fret dress! I have no idea if it's indicative of the build quality of all the Squier Bass VIs - but I'd warn you to be careful if buying by mail order, that your dealer is good with after-sales customer service.
8. Hey Cyrene - this fella is looking for trades on his sunburst pawn shop Bass VI:- http://basschat.co.uk/topic/215641-fender-bass-vi-mim-pawn-shop-series-3t-sunburst/page__pid__2189737#entry2189737
9. Thanks Cyrene. I love this bass. I wouldn't trade it - but I need the funds for other stuff. Sorry.
10. Just added photos. Beautiful guitar! No? Please note the hardcase shown and spare brand new Fender USA Jaguar bridge pickup are also available. Make me an offer? Thanks for looking.
11. Hi folks, I have a nearly new Fender Bass VI in Candy Apple Red for sale. It's the cutest of all the Pawn shop series - having matching headstock. Gorgeous bass, with phenomenal playability, tone and scope for originality. It's not been gigged and is in mint condition - still bearing the tag! These are £630 new, if you can find one in stock (!) , and that's cheapest UK price I could find. I am asking for £570 for mine. No offers. I'd prefer the buyer to collect (that way I know everyone's happy), and I'd be happy to deliver if it's local (West London, Berkshire area). Please PM me if interested. Thanks for looking! - Nick.
12. Very tempted by the Quatravalve... where are you?
