Up for sale there's a rare piece of Trace Elliot history... the VA350. Powerful Valve Amp with 350w (underrated in pure Trace style). The six 6550 tubes that can be used in pairs! 1 pair for low output (80Watts), 2 for medium (200Watts) and 3 for full power(350watts). 4 and 2 ohm impedance. Apart from the nicest power stage this head has TWO preamps: the legendary GP11 with the graphic, pre-shape and a ton of in/out connections AND a flat response tube preamp with 12AX7 tubes. This makes it ultra-versatile. This amp was made before the well-known V6 and has the same power stage... tons of clean headroom with the warmth that only tubes can give. There´s your massive and clear basstone. The Cabs are quite small in size, which makes them easy to move around, they fit and handle the amp perfectly. And their wedge design allows for perfect monitoring. The rig comes with footswich and all covers...
5. Thanks for your post. I used to run the MP11 into a Nomad Bassman, a nice 80ies all analog fx-unit / preamp, which has stereo outputs. It has a compressor, an octaver and a chorus/flanger on board as well as a simple but effective eq-stage. Great piece.
6. Yes, indeed! A well known and busy luthier here in Vienna did the aging of the original Nitro. Thank you for bumping
7. A very rare vintage Set-up, that survived from the early 90ies. John Entwistle und Mark King would love this. Yet small enough to move around easily this rig is big enough to fit just any situation on stage. And it gives you tons of options to shape your sound and make yourself heard within the band. The MP11 is a truly classic preamp, fully programmable, midi capable; and yes, it´s analog, resulting in warm and punchy tone. Just like all the old TEs, that are still around for their great sounds... can´t be beaten by digital microamps . In addition to that, it puts the option of 20 different sounds at your feet, no matter what style of music you prefer. Ten presets are given, the other ten may be designed by the user and then stored. Every song in your set could have its own basstone... Taking more than one bass on a gig is made easy as you can adjust them in tone and volume as needed. It comes with the much sought after floorboard, which is lost with most of the few MP11 around. The RA500 delivers 250 Watts per channel, in mono, in stereo or in Bi-Amp mode and 500W when bridged. No, again it´s NOT digital . The lows of your basstone need power... and this powerstage delivers massive headroom. And its well known that TEs have always been underrated regarding their wattage... Although the Cabs are quite small in size, they handle the amp easily. Of course they are a perfect fit for Bi-Amp mode, also their wedge design allows for perfect monitoring regardless of the size of the venue or your bands rehearsal-space.. Pick up in Vienna, but I am happy to ship if you organize for.
