1.
Gets heavier every time I look at it ...
It's actually not that heavy, it's alder for the main body and I had it made for that reason to be still extremely playable. If you actually look at it it's only the rosewood centre section wider than any Status of this shape including the old ones, in fact it's not much heavier than some of the old Series IIs!
2. Pms replied to but still up for sale.
3. This might be on the market again if anyone's interesred, everything on the original post applies, pxs+ cash
4.
Just a question: are the necks interchangable? The fretless one on top would be nice...
Yes the necks are interchangeable, I swopped them over once but went back to this as the fretted necks a fraction to low if you want to slap, for me anyway, I'll post a few pics when it's all done and dusted too.
5. Yeah MB1 is right, the bass is being refinished but not by Status as they no longer do refinishes. It is now being kept as well as I must have been having a strange turn when I even considered selling it!
6. Ahh no love for the Beast, oh well I will just have to keep it then!
7. Yeah thanks, it does make quite an impression!
8. Hi I'm selling my S2 Classic Double, the bass has an Alder body with flame maple top, it is a 4/4 fretted fretless, 34in scale, and 19mm spacing on both necks, it has the Standard status board with a variable mid, and switching for either neck on /off or both necks on. The bass is relatively light for what it is and because of its compact body can be played sitting normally without having to play it side on. It has an immense sound and the fretless is amazing, plays as all Statii do, superbly. I have played this bass extensively and it does have a few signs of playing wear and a little dink on the top as pictured,it's finished in satin and although it looks great this is not the hardest wearing of finishes,I would give it a 9/10. It has a Status flight case in A1 condition, and all documentation and tools i have had the bass from new. I'm looking for £2000 or px for Status S2000/S11 Vigier passion Jaydee S1/3/GA any condition plus cash adjustment depending on value of part Ex. I'm down near Brighton. Any questions just please ask or message me. Cheers Dave
